I don't know how much I trust Takaki himself seeing how strong his waifufagism is, but to be fair I also don't know how much direct involvement he has on content besides general management duties.

I'll just hope that that any future VD games take the opportunity to differentiate from SK by going even gayer. Like the heart catch minigame should have been how you build relationship points between the girls by having them massage each other.

VD has a lot fewer characters than SK, but as a result each character's moveset is deeper. Defense in VD is based on dodging, rather than blocking in SK. VD also has a few new mechanics related to dashing and attack cancelling.
There's also more enemy variety, and the levels are larger.

It's pretty amazing how much nicer the game looks on PC compared to Vita and listening with my headphones gives me a much stronger appreciation for the music.

Mana's character arc is pretty impressive. She starts out a nice girl who tries hard to look out for others, but everyone treating her like trash forces her to become a scheming slut to survive on the island. And in the end she gets to make up with everyone again.

This game was honestly surprisingly well written, all in all. The way the characters getting into arguments ultimately leads them to teach one another and become better people.

So Steam decided to be a dick and override my custom screenshot settings, rendering pretty much every screen I took being lost in the void (sure, I could more or less easily retake most of them, but still...)

Shame too, as I came across some choice lines such as Momo mumbling in her sleep how much she wants to motorboat Ranka, Mana calling Ranka out on being a "siscon" (and Ranka vehemently denying such), and Manpukumaru gleefully exclaiming "It's raining naked girls! Hallelujah!" after defeating one of the gods in the Order route.

Yeah, for a yuri fanservice franchise, I do appreciate there is actual effort put in the story and characters. Once the conspiracy of Bhikkuni is revealed, it was surprisingly dark and at the same time I like Rinka's optimism through it all.

I find playing with Mirei/Mamori to be a total power fantasy that I am completely OK with. Mirei is so cool, I feel like I have a legitimate crush on her. There are a few things about her implementation in the game that make me really appreciate their effort. Her height difference from Mamori, that they kept her bra-less like the anime, the close up of Mamori's hairpin during the second drive animation, and basically all her fight animations pretty much put her on a different level from the Bhikkhuni girls. I dislike that you have to grind through story missions that she has no right to be in to up-skill her, but it is great using her in challenge/survival modes.

Any Idea what Mamori's third and final drive forms are based on?
