Technically the intended experience was that you went through YuYuYu and WaSuYu in the order that the episodes/chapters released in. It's definitely not required to understand the series however and it's perfectly fine to just watch YuYuYu on it's own and then read/watch WaSuYu afterwards.

What the hell? That's the same as telling them to skip Nowayu or even Yuyuyu. You can understand each part of the story without reading/watching the other installments just fine. It would greatly decrease your enjoyment of them, though.

Would the franchise be more successful if the first installment was the Nowayu anime? I know part of the reason I enjoy Nowayu so much was the set up Yuyuyu and Wasuyu build, but even without that it's just simply better written and there is more risk and stake at every battle. It's also going all out from the start and doesn't leave behind the mood whiplash which was the last few ep of Yuyuyu.

I don't really think so. While NoWaYu is better wrtten than YuYuYu, it seems that a lot of people got hooked to the franchise because of YuYuYu, even if they ended up liking NoWaYu the most.

The darker tone of NoWaYu could had also harm it if it had come first because it could had just been lumped by many as just another dark magical girl series/madoka clone from the very start since NoWaYu would had never tried to hide anything like YuYuYu did with the "School/Slice of Life" thing.

Nah I think the mystery part of YuYuYu much like Madoka is pretty vital to the story as a whole. The moments when you first see Sonoko, realize Tougou was a hero previously, or actually come to understand the nature of the world and hero system are a pretty big deal and YuYuYu goes through all of those very well.

Also the way YuYuYu insists "guys this totally isn't dark, don't worry about it" while dropping hints that it is indeed dark for over half it's run time would fall flat if it wasn't the first in the series. It plays off the expectations that you will be watching a Madoka clone pretty hard, summed up pretty well in that "what I got" fridge Mami picture that I can't find at the moment.

I feel like half of it was people thinking the Subaru connection suddenly makes a show shallow for being sponsored. Another half is that isn't cool enough? Like it's almost too good and true of a traditional mahou shoujo where it's about collecting the important objects so that there's no actual "fights" and the astronomy aspect without sci-fi, mecha, etc is really niche. A lot of the deeper science aspects would also just go over a lot of viewers heads, especially in the first episode because people think it's just some show about magical girls with car brooms and don't even realize that interesting union of characters from different timelines into one.

Episode 3 is where it started picking up for me.
I would say that you should try two more episodes and if by episode 5 you don't like it, it's probably not for you.
Those two are character-focused episodes for Hikaru and Itsuki respectively, by the way.
I'll be eternally mad that my girl Aoi never got a ship viewing scene though, or development by herself and not as "Subaru's friend".

It's pretty much the same for every tower defense mobage. Every one of them plays almost exactly the same with just a few different gimmicks. Just like SRW X-Ω, this game's main appeal is the crossover interactions and not the actual gameplay.

Besides, the way the spoiler guy posts seems a lot like he's just fishing for them (you)s. He's keeping things vague and spills the beans little by little instead of just dumping what he knows. The only times he goes into detail is when it's obvious stuff ("every hero can use fairies in YuYuYui", "some stages will be pretty tough") but doesn't even post complete sentences when it gets actually intresting ("Hidaka Rina will be a seiyuu" (of which character?)).

It would usually be one word, but I suspect that the "原" part signifies aura or field effects in this case. If it does, it might make sense to translate it in a way that has the same implication of "two-dimensional area" 原 has. Same with 大雪原, depending on what the skill actually looks like in the game it might either refer to an actual blizzard or simply a snow-covered plain. Maybe it's best to see what these skills actually do before we decide on a translation.

I think the twitter account some guy made for Gin is pretty fitting. A lifeless bot that spams her silly jokes and trademark lines.

Wakaba's would be an entirely serious personal account which she'd use for talking to her team and retweeting information about city events and maybe some history articles, Hinata's would be a single person Wakaba fan club account (many many pictures included), Anzu's would be cute animal pictures, romance book reactions and Tama teasing, Tamako's would be shitposting, outdoors pictures and ranting about the Tama teasing, Chikage's would be cringy 'deep' posts, RPG and horror retweets and replies to Takashima and Takashima's would be a constant stream of positive reactions to what the others were posting combined with retweets of motivational quotes/pictures and fitness/positive thinking articles.

Speaking of udon, whenever I go out to eat with Sonocchi and Gin and we've ordered udon, we're giving off an aura of "we're hoping for some delicious udon" until they arrive. When we do that, the udon always tastes even better than we were expecting.
In that case, waiting for the game with a "I'm hoping for YuYuYui" aura will surely make it fun!
