Not OP, but tou guys have way to may people working on each chapter, one person translating and another typesetting and editing is optimal, the more people you have working on a single chapter the less efficient the process is, I bet it takes you only a few hours to translate one chapter, but a month for the other people to get everything else done.

That's not inaccurate.

I do like having the people that check my translation though, because I will invariably fuck up something stupidly obvious, only to facepalm later when it's pointed out. The extra QC helps.

But I think the reason we have so many people working on each chapter is that almost all of us are working adults who only have so much time to work on this between jobs/family that we have to kind of piecemeal it. I do most of my translating at work, in fact.

If we had editing/typesetting people with more time on their hands to work on it (which we're in the process of trying to get), the releases would be a lot faster.

Sadly, translating is all I can do.

If they were putting out a chapter a month, they'd be keeping up with the manga without any trouble. Instead, they waste time on stupid shit like hardsubbing Strike while continuing to fall further behind on Vivid. Nice priorities there.

Aren't they like over two years and five volumes behind? It sucked to have to watch Strike while missing more than a quarter of Vivid that the writers clearly expected the audience to have read first. We barely even met Yumina in time and suddenly she's living with Einhart. And I'm still confused about what happened with Ixy. I wish that someone had done this before Strike instead of after.

Going by the credits page, there's not that many. I mean, not in the important roles, anyways. They have a bunch of proof readers but I highly doubt they're the ones causing any delays.

Cleaning and redrawing takes a lot of time and skill so it's better that takes longer so it can be done well. Typesetting is a lot easier, but depends on how wordy any given chapter is.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If it had been canceled last year when the other 4 out of 5 ongoing manga series were, I would've assumed that it was the end of the franchise. But with two movies and possibly two more seasons already announced, it's extremely unlikely that they're going to quit making manga for it. If anything, Vivid ending is a good thing since it almost certainly means that something else is about to start. Hopefully something better.

I will be honest, I love The Movie 1st for this reason alone. In the series, Precia is just sort of around, and that there was more to the Alicia angle than it seemed. The dream sequence near the end A's only add that that suspicion.
All the movie goes and does is give Precia's motivations some context. It turns out that the entire family is a tragedy. Precia has driven herself insane to 'try' and repair it, only to go and treat Fate like trash.
I honestly don't think that even if she found what she was looking for that Precia would every be sane. She is just too far gone.

I know all the vivids are heavily sexualized and I have no problem with it but I feel that the way they have been sexualizing her recently doesn't fit her character. Like, I think most vivids are sexy but there seems to be a sense of purity and intimacy to their art. Their fanservice usually involves them hanging out in situations that are normal to them but tantalising to us. It almost feels natural for them to be naked or touching eachother in those pics. Corona, on the other hand, just looks like a slut.

This saddens me, but I guess we had the signs for it as soon as Vivid Strike appeared.
They are giving up on Vivids, particularly on Einhart. Her ship is being/was killed, that is one obvious flag.
The most obvious sign is that she is being presented as a sempai/tutor and is not brought into any conflict or situation of struggle. They are basically pushing her aside to join Numbers, Erio and Caro. Or actually, she has it worse, because she is just sport fighter and not a TSAB mage, so while those mentioned might appear in Force or something similar, Einhart is done, she'll have cameos at best in the future. Alas, I liked her a lot before they decided to give her the smile/brainwash/Yumina makeover.

I wonder if they also gave up on Vivio or if she was spared for now. The fact that they gave her a fight in Vivid Strike gives hope, maybe they still want to feature her in something. Maybe that's why they split her from Einhart.

I'll miss Vivid if it ends. My ideal Nanoha world was one with Force continued or redone and either connecting with Vivid into a serious plot where Vivio and Einhart get to play the big part (would that make Thoma genedrswap Hayate Mk.II?), or being followed by season 5 afterwards that would build on the Belkan King descendant stuff from Vivid, and feature V&E.

Why so pessimistic? There is a lot of things they can do with Vivid characters even if they are not part of TSAB. Nanoha was not part of TSAB in S1 and A's yet she still got involved in incidents and did cool stuffs.
No one is giving up on anyone. Just because Einhart got the instructor role in Vivid Strike doesn't mean that she won't get to do anything in future installments. If Vivid Strike gets a sequel where they move to the U19 then Einhart would get the spot-light with her fight with Seig. If the sequel is something about Belka stuffs then she would obviously play a big role.
By the way, Fabia is now a contract mage and is working with Lutecia as Hayate's trump card. Considering Einhart's relation with both Fabia and Hayate, it's odd to think she won't be involved in whatever scheme Hayate is planning for the future.

Why do you think that the planning that went into Vivid Strike only happened the day before its announcement? They clearly could have had it in mind for a year, if not longer.

Clearly, Yumina's initial appearance 2 years ago (or how much it is) could just have been the first sign of their plan. Or maybe even the smilification of Einhart through the fight with Vivio too. You can see that there is a change of policy somewhere there. Before that, the manga shipped Vivio with Einhart, then around vol12/13, it reconsidered.

And don't bring Force into it, its existence and quality issues are unrelated problem.
