I'm more annoyed that the episode ended with Mamori still crushing on Akira. This is what made the episode frustrating to me, not the meaningless illusion scene. It's really annoying that Mamori wasn't conflicted at all, like she doesn't even remember that she saw Mirei as her prince just the day before. Even just before the fight started in the previous episode, they had what seemed like an important moment when Mamori expressed worry and called Mirei without a honorific for the first time, but apparently neither of them even noticed it.

I really hope they end crush soon, but I imagine it's going to be stretched for a while in order to compound with Momoka's appearance and generate drama between our leads.

Overall, the episode wasn't that bad (the animation in particular was pretty great), but it makes me worried about the rest of the series. Despite Lady Lady, Charlotte, and Kasumi; the obsession over Akira really kills the yuri vibe of the show, especially with how Mamori and Torino act. The sand-men scene was a poor writing decision, imo; I know the show is trashy, but it lost a lot of dignity with that scene.

I hope the latter half of this episode was just a weak point in the series and it'll go back to being yurilicious soon.
