Bryke do tend to try and fit their previous ideas in in some fashion. Originally the Water Tribe Civil War was going to be in the first season of Korra. Then they slapped it in season 2. Wan was put in there too rather than them making a comic about the origin after AtLA ended back when they apparently had the idea during Earth.
The "high-tech" future seems to be happening that Avatar was originally before the Fire Nation sent things back. Tech is a thing and science is trumping bending.
Fire Nation princess seems like a high enough possibility given that they'll need to make up reasons for Mako and Bolin to keep tagging along with Korra rather than just live their own lives.

Kuvira, despite being the weakest villain, has everything consistently fall her way until the finale. She's not a Villain Sue, but she's the beneficiary of what TV Tropes would call a Diabolus Ex Machina.

Well aside from the endings being a bit predictable (but honestly what isn't these days?) but I would say yeah. I didn't like the majority of the cast either when I first played it, but in the end I got pretty attached to them. Especially Chloe, who I disliked with a passion.
So if you want an honest opinion I would say give it a try when you can get the rest of the season for cheap during the christmas sale. It's a rather comfy game for the most part so it works well if you sit down at a cold winter evening, wrap yourself in something warm and just play it.

Also Ashly Burch really kills it as Chloe in the future episodes.

Otherwise them being romantically involved is based on how you play Max, though the game really knocks you over your head that Max is attracted to Chloe, especially later on. And well, theres an end where they are definitely together. Problem is the endings were kinda predictable and DONTNOD suffered from budget problems so the endings aren't entirely what they desired of them.
That being said they are also easy to headcanon the way they are too.

Warren? Yeah he CAN be, but that's entirely depending on how you play. Though I think that was actually shoehorned in since most of the time Max is actually a bit indifferent to his advances. There's a reason Warren fans are called Warrenkeks in /lisg/
