no. religious allegories and lack of subtlety aside (which imo is a fair criticism), it's a shit film on all other fronts. the acting was atrocious (particularly ed harris and jennifer lawrence), all the beats in the plot were predictable 2-3 scenes in advance, the writing was cookie-cutter. idk i really don't get why people like this film other than for it being an indictment of the way humans mistreat earth.

I thought it was pretty good. It was disturbing. The acting was great. The art direction was great. The sound was great. My only complaint is the allegory was way too on the nose.
