It's not too bad and that's something that probably helped them get the show made in the first place was having a basic ass story line like that. They can resolve the story line but the show will go on.

The commericals are absolutely HORRIBLE

they paint it like some sort of Spaceballs/family guy star wars episodes crossover but its nothing like that at all its thematically almost identical to TNG with a couple of mcfartlame jokes throw in.

Pilot was okay. Hoping they turn the comedy dial down a notch or so, I liked a lot of the jokes, but I think the pilot was trying a little too hard sometimes - the big "pause for laugh track" types of jokes were just kind of meh, while the quieter, more subtle jokes and subversions seemed to work really well. If they play more towards that side of the comedy I think it's got serious potential.

Especially given the competition.
