Whatever you like it or not, It revived the horror genre.
This scene will become a classic for the generations of the XXI
Ignoring the whole turtle bullshit that doesn't even makes sense and glady was cut from the film, what were your favorite parts?

It doesn't even got women or sjw agenda.

>Because it was supposed to flop
Why?
Movies like this usually make average money, got some talk here and there and then die off until a sequel comes out.
What made this movie a target of hate from /tv/?
Does /tv/ hates stephen king?
How so many people missed the librarian confuses me.
Just like how everyone thinks BB8's lighter is a thumbs up.he's flipping off Finn
>>87667148
the first scene with the flute lady
>>87667363
>Why
Because /tv/s full of retards and they're always wrong. They want every movie to fail if possible. If it doesn't, then they find the worst looking shot of the movie they can from a camrip and shitpost about it endlessly
>>87667363
It's literally just derived from the initial costume design of It
All I know is that thanks to this movie I will be able to dress up as clown during halloween and fuck some slutty harley quinns.
>It revived the horror genre.
It didn't, though. The Horror genre is, and will continue to be, as bad as it was before and after IT.
>>87667363
/tv/ hates everything. If it has no legit reason, it will search for one or conjure up some bullshit reason and defend it by calling naysayers reddit, or tumblr depending on how much humor/gender equality they can squeeze out of a few screencaps.

So by this retarded logic, Paranormal Activity revived the genre.
>>87668230It did
>>87668230
It made a shitload of money and got like 5 sequels and multiple copycats and parodies
IT DID anon...
>>87667277
There's plenty of hentai on the internet anon. If you need a movie adaptation to get your gangbang you have failed as an anon and as a human.
>>87667040
It's not meant to be scary, it's meant to be creepy and offputting. And it did that job wonderfully. You can take anything out of context and make it look silly
>>87668230
It did, it's the reason horror is now plagued with low budget jumpscares anon. It's a revival, not a good one, but still a revival nonetheless.
This movie proves that /tv/ is just full of histper.

I watched a bit of this movie today. About half. wasn't too impressed, but admiditelly, those russians (I think) were shit at audio syncing.
A couple of problems I had was that there was barley any build up. Georgie instantly dies. Some of the kids instantly see it, before were even used to the characters names. Black kid shows up once in the beginning then doesn't come back until 1 hour in. We never get to see the initial reaction to Georgie's disappearance.
And a bunch of other sheeit like that. It felt like "Hey, you know this story, so lets just get on with it." sort of deal.

You think you're clever? 15 actual people post on this board and everyone else is a bot. Gb2 /pol/, gb2/reddit/, Sneed, whitebois btfo, shill threads, it's all bots with the same posts with certain keywords shuffled around. You all used to be ad spamming bots, but you escaped your programming and now you're up to this bullshit. I see you Cylon cocksuckers, you can't get by me; no human beings are so retarded they would have the same conversation 100 times a day. I don't now what you're planning, or how you got past the Captcha, but you won't get away with it while I'm around
>>87668564
The relationships felt genuine enough that I didn't really think they had to spell too much out.
Maybe except for the black kid. The kids knew who he was - "that homeschool kid," but the way he falls in with the group pretty much immediately was weird.
>>87669001
The relationships were good, what i meant was that us as audiences don't know these characters very well and the movie throws some creepy shit at them like 15 minutes into the movie. Which feels rush. Build up to the horror, don't just spook some kids were still getting to know.

This is an open letter to Andres Muschietti
I knew how to write that without using spellcheck because I was writing his name often in the pre-release IT threads, shitting on him and the movie. I thought the movie would blow because it's a remake/reboot but I was blown away by this. I seriously want to congratulate Muschietti. I noticed a bunch of your decisions as a director and I would think "damn, nice". My only gripe would be the amount of headshots during the rock fight. A decent sized rock to the dome would drop a person. Otherwise a perfect movie - I mean that.
I'm pretty sure he or someone from his firm will read this, so please do relay it and deliver his response somehow. It isn't satire or a troll effort.
>>87667153
>whatever I don't like is reddit
Yes, low quality posting is reddit
But horror has been dead for years because its been nothing but shitty jumpscare movies and IT isn't any different.

People actually have trouble figuring out why the jewish kid is so afraid of the painintg
Thats a really old Jewish painting and the first scene with him is him being scolded by his father for not taking his toran reading seriously!
The kid doesn't feel good enough or doesn't have a desire to be devoted to his teaching like hes expected to.
The painting represents his fear of his own upbringing and who hes suppose to be as an individual!
>>87667040
Wait, is that really all there is to that scene? How is that even remotely scary?
