I'm not sure about the weapon, but I think the armor looks good. The First Order is obviously going to change things up from old Empire designs. If they could just figure out how to make armor that could survive one blaster shot they would do much better as an organization long-term.

I fucking hate storm trooper armor. Nerds think it looks cool but honestly it clearly serves no purpose in protecting them and is completely visible making easy to spot targets; unless in a snowier landscape, but even then, the black accents defeat that purpose too. Fucking garbage.
