Why do the Hobbit films feel more like Narnia than they feel like they belong in the LotR universe? LotR was such a miracle and hit all the right notes so perfectly that even Andy Serkis kinda naturally looks like some kind of elf/hobbit thing without the CGI and it feels like he would belong in that world, and he was only hired to do the voice work for gollum originally
