Can we talk about the cinematic mastery that is in this short sequence of events.

I wish Pennywise had more dialogue in this
It is supposed to look faster every time it loops? I'm scared /tv/...
>>87535870
>dat facial zoom
That said, if we got this for the first movie, I can't wait to see how they handle Pennywise and adult Richie in the Library
>>87535870
How about discussing it in one of the other 10 shill threads?
>>87535870
I think they could have made the "carnival in hell by way of George Meilies" look a bit more awesome after running through the gross/grey sewers for a while.
>>87535870
The way his mouth kind of opens and he looks physically and emotionally annoyed
>C'mon kid.. get scared.. my legs hurt.. how long do i have to do this for.
lmao
HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I liked where they went with this new pennywise. His goofiness alone was pretty unnerving.
>>87535870
LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR
>>87535870
Fuck it's so scary bros, hold me
i laughed
someone post the pasta about how the camerawork masterful portrayal of how fear only exists in one's head hence the clown's head being the only static thing in the shot
>>87536183
right there on the tin
As soon as I saw this scene, I was waiting for the eventual gif of it. Thank you.
>>87535870
Am I supposed to watch this on acids?
What the FUCK were they thinking
>>87535870

>>87540137
I'd hate to be the one to tell you this amazing secret but the bar for horror has dropped incredibly low in the past few decades
>>87540288
>THE CRITICS ARE WRONG! NO! STOP LIKING THE MOVIE!
>>87540137
>rottentomatoes
you mean the website where anyone with a decent amount of money can easily game their system with paid reviews?
every movie has 90%+ on rottentomatoes the first days before the embargoes lift
Can we make this a meme
>>87535870
Is that Beetlejuice 2?
>>87540234
Wonder Woman is DC, you are supposed to like it, get with the memo.
>>87539693

>BEST HORROR IN DECADES!!
>horror has been shit for decades

>>87535870
Clowns are scary/creepy because they're trying so very hard to be happy/jovial but they don't really know how so they come off as hiding something, like the fact they hate everything.
Trying to make a literal clown literally scary is fucking stupid.
>>87535870
actually looks pretty creepy tho, just not scary. recommend me creepy movies also
>>87540951
No fuck Wonder Woman! Joss Whedon is shit and he ruined Justice League and WB ruined Ayer's original cut of Suicide Squad.
Face it, DCEU isn't good now.
Find another movie hobby and not cinematic capeshit with the way things are going.
>>87536183
cinematographer did Old Boy.
>>87541088
works like a charm
>>87541104
>recommend me creepy movies also
Sinister is one of the scariest movies I've seen in recent years altho the 3rd act does get a little cheesy with child ghosts (not meant to spoil but the way they did the make up on the kids was pretty cheap) BUT the movie is filled with short snuff films that very likely will keep you up late at night.
First act of the movie is literally a 10/10 masterpiece.
It has the scariest soundtrack I've ever heard in a movie

Stream when?!?
>>87535870
Was it Autism?
>Pennywise with one eye sometimes looks at the camera
>When both eyes are on the camera he takes full control of it
Thats pretty kino if you ask me
>>87541227
yeah I saw that one, really didn't care much for it. pretty mild and 'dude little kids r scary lmao' really ruined it for me
>>87541088
I'll play double's advocate and say that this was intentional
The rest of the set shaking while his face is staying mostly still in the shot is unsettling and if you're some ancient demon looking to terrify some kids you're probably going for maximum unsettlement
why's everyone making such a big deal over this part? scary clowns usually have some actually comedic aspects to them, this isn't really that noteworthy in a good or bad way. or is it just the focus locking ?
