I disagree
season 1 was trash, season without harmon was trash, everything else was either alright with some glorious expections (meow meow beans are top episode for me, and that was season 5 if I recall correctly)

Every time there was a joke of "Haha Annie has big boobs" or "Yeah we can see your boobs" I couldn't focus on the rest of the episode.
Her tits aren't even that big, they're just mesmerising.

How was she cats as an 18 year old or whatever? She looks 30 in a good pic of her
S1/S2 > S5/S6 >>>>> S3/S4
Seriously, there's no difference between 3 and 4, they have the same weird editing and use of music that makes every joke fall flat.

4th season was lightyears above 5 and 6, not that it means anything but still.
>>87526797

No it wasn't, every character acted like a bizarre caricature of their former selves.

S1 was shaky at first but when it found it's voice it became the best thing. Core was still this disfunctional family learning to be together filtered through this romantic and at the same time cynical worldview. It's quirky charm was the extra glue that made it all work.
S2 was the evolution of everything in S1. Major character arcs involving the characters' relationships and the quirky effect got bumped up to 11, but they're still in service of the story. It was clear that the quirkier stuff was made up in conjunction with the plot.
S3 was the continuation and when the cracks started to show. While it's still all solid, some characters start to lose themselves and there's one or other theme episode that doesn't feel right. Still, the best episode of the show happens here.
S4 is the proof that Harmon is needed to make this shit work and that the writers have no clue to what makes Community. Only two good episodes and an absolutely dreadful finale.
S5 is proof that even Harmon might not have the best idea as to what makes Community work. A lot of quirkier event episodes seem to be written backwards, crazy concept first, and then how they could make something out of that. There's still some solid stuff here, but it's lost in a good amount of mediocrity. Has a finale that's somehow worse than S4's.
S6 is more of the same. Some golden stuff is sprinkled through mediocre episodes that suffer the same problems, but it's all forgiven with the best finale Harmon could have possibly written, it's pretty much flawless.
By around S4 the writing became more about "Okay, let's give them the Community they know and love" and there's when it lost itself, imo.
