Well, 'liked' is maybe the wrong word. It deeply affected me, which cinema never does. Obv it's not a subtle movie. It's heavily pretentious. But still, it got me right in the feels.

It's very similar to There Will be Blood in that the top-tier performances obfuscate the mediocrity of the film and that it ultimately serves as a reverse pleb-filter. The untrained eye mistakes it for kino, when in fact it's merely a good film.
