The Abyss is one of my favorite movies from the 80s, period. Tron, Enemy Mine. Have you seen most of the 80s blockbuster sci-fis or should I throw out more of those? I've seen a lot of campy shit too.

Some of my favorites are THX 1138, Lucas in his experimental stage. AI: Artificial Intelligence (Spielberg), a fun mix of adventure and scientific curiosity. Metropolis, a silent film but way ahead of its time. Blade Runner, 2001 Space Odyssey, and Clockwork Orange are must-see if you havent already.
