The real funny thing was hearing Lynch sour and criticizing season 2 for years, showing absolutlely no respect for others work, just to present a tedious and lazy 18 parts season that is way worst than season 2 in every aspect. He managed to screw up all the lodge mithology and plus give us a cast of poor development new characters. I don`t have a doubt that this new season would be criticized with no mercy if the director was someone from Lost or something like that.
Well, F**k you, David Lynch, you pretentious twat. I would go with season 2 over you bullshit season 3 any day.

Truth is, you don't matter that much

This wasn't loose threads...it was crapping on everything that came before it and unsettling what little narrative there was because...he's lynch.

I'm seeing a lot of people comparing this to lynch's films. Frankly I don't care much for lost highway, or Mulholland drive...and that's not what twin peaks was. Twin peaks was lynch playing with tv formats. It seemed after the last few episodes that's what we were getting, and then it became an even worse version of lost highway that undermined the prior mythology and narrative, and didn't even tip a hat to its own internal logic.

I'm a twin peaks fan a lot more than a lynch fan, and this was the inscrutable mr. Lynch at his lynchiest. Which I frankly find ponderous and pretentious. It ain't what I signed up for and I think the finale made the whole return worse.

we get to experience 5 different realities related to Laura Palmer (referred to from now on as):
1) The first "real world" in which Laura Palmer is killed and Dale Cooper comes to Twin Peaks (the universe of the first season and at least most of the second)
2) An amalgam world of the "real world" and Audrey's dream world, connected by the roadhouse (characters walk in and out of the dream world as a connected entity via the roadhouse).
3) The brief existence of the world in which Dale Cooper saves Laura Palmer, which is then destroyed.

The best part of Twin Peaks was always the mystery. Lynch/Frost originally never wanted to solve the Laura Palmer murder, they were forced by ABC. And what happened when the mystery was revealed? There was nothing left for the show to do and it got shit. The ending of 18 was them doing what they originally wanted to do, we will never find out what Laura whispered, there will never be anymore peaks. This is it.

It was to show that the Coop that was leaving wasn't genuine Coop, but in fact the Coop made with Coop's hair and the seed post-doppelcoop's death. Real Cooper couldn't manipulate the lodge properly because he wasn't from there hence all the troubles he has traversing it. Seedcoop could traverse the lodge as he wished since he was a spirit from there part coop, part doppelcoop. All that happens from there on out is Seedcoop fucking everything up, while Coop goes home to Janey-E, like he promised.

When Coop first goes to Carrie's house, she seems reluctant to open the door, but when he says he's FBI she quickly opens it, and almost seems relieved immediately asking "Did you find him?"
This leads me to believe she was not the one who killed the man in her house, and instead someone else had killed the man, she reported it and had expected Coop to be a detective attached to the case.

Why do people keep saying Coop is a retard who fucked up when it was the Fireman and MIKE that helped him the most and led him eventually to Carrie Page? The Fireman obviously knew all this would happen from the first episode, could have prevented it, but went along with it even sending Booper to the Twin Peaks and kicking the rest in motion.

So why is Cooper getting all the blame? Log Lady says "Laura is the key". Leland tells him TWICE to "Find Laura".
