The problem with people who have never smoked is that they fall for memes like "the only reason people smoke is because they're addicted and it relieves their withdrawal". In actual fact, nicotine does have a very real effect on you and it feels extremely pleasant and stress-relieving, but all education/propoganda fails to mention this because they don't care about giving you the facts, only drilling into your head that you should never do it. It's like abstinence-only sex education. In general anyone who argues against smoking is a fucking idiot who knows literally none of the information whatsoever.
The other thing is that people often fail to recognize that there are any position to take between never smoking or being a complete addict. Believe it or not, just like drinking alcohol, it is completely possible to moderate your intake, by some combination of only doing it at certain times or in certain situations, and/or smoking rollups instead of straight cigs
Ultimately it's a personal choice, if you think it's worth getting cancer in return for all of the mental and social benefits of smoking then you should be allowed to do it without getting berated.
