Empathy might not be the correct word, i can understand peoples feels etc. just something that will make me care.

when i watch malick movies i always feel emotional. the way the shots are framed and the accompanying music and narration evoke my own memories and feelings which i cant really describe. ethereal and distant in a way but i havent found anything else like it.
most movies make you feel emotions by showing and describing a situation linked to that emotion, like a character dying evokes sorrow and sadness but malick films somehow capture the feeling itself and cram it into picture and sound
anyway thats what i usually watch
