I'm so glad I came on here and saw this. I love the original. And Legacy was even pretty good in its own way. I heard Tr3n isn't coming out because Bruce Boxleitner wanted nothing more to do with the movies.

Everyone was creeped out by the uncanny valley. It works in CLU's favor, but my only gripe is with the unfiltered “We're always on the same team”flashback of Flynn's creepy grin. Always throws me out of it.

Tron 3 is gunna happen after they see the success of Ready Player One. Guarantee they'll make it more kid friendly and ruin the continuity and feel of the characters and the world, but fuck it.

The only way that a "reboot" would work would be for Jared Leto to be a programmer/ exec at a rival company to Encom and somehow he gets sucked into his own companies computer system. Would be interesting seeing how multiple different systems look. With the OG Tron as Encom's super dated system and Legacy's more modern Grid. Something new while still being within continuity would be interesting

tron legacy could have been really great. but they screwed the pooch. this movie is like exhibit A of sacrificing storytelling for franchise-building. sam steals his dad's turbo-tron-whatever-bike which is supposed to be the baddest fastest thing ever and he uses it to ride into town and then just gives it away? gee, i wonder if that was set up to come back in a later movie. what's-her-fuck is supposed to be a digital DNA lifeform that will revolutionize the world, but how? oh i'm sure later movies would have explained it. rinzler is tron? why, i'm blown the fuck away. the movie just retread a bunch of shit from the first one like 30 years ago.
