I watched a few episodes with my college roommate a couple years ago but that's all. My mother says that watching "outer space shit" like this is what's making me depressed.

All those evil seeds that The Experiment/Mother vomited out into the world after the nuclear blast are fragments of evil that nested in humans since then. Now they're coming back for some other similar event.

No, you're making this up, or you've read something that was made up. I followed TPTR very closely during the initial announcement and have watched interviews with Lynch from before they had even started production officially where he said it'd be shot on digital.

If this was shot on film, we probably wouldn't even be watching it now. Lynch is an old man. He doesn't have the time nor patience to waste on film anymore. The reason why he likes digital is because it means he can get it done sooner and get back to what he actually loves: working.
