i am not a big fan of clara by any means but saying she has no development is just patently wrong. there was a very very large amount of time dedicated to the development of her character. she is definitely not the same person she was at the start of her adventures with the doctor.

i agree with matt smith though, he never really lands anything. his emotional moments always come off as trite and melodramatic and his funny moments are sort of hard to watch. i still watch some of his episodes regularly though, call me a masochist.
