Oh god, i remember this steaming pile of shit. How could they convince based Jeff Bridges to be drunk Gandalf and Mommy-in-chief Julianne Moore to be shitty Maleficent? And How the fuck does that 7th son shit even work? 7th son of a 7th son? From the same mother or just the father? Can he double down for 14 sons? 21? Would it have even been that rare in medieval times to have that many children considering the lack of medical knowledge?
Fuck I hated this movie.

That movie is garbage. It's a shame because the book was a legitimately decent young adult novel.
Eragon was pretty good desu

I read the first two books when I was young, they were a bit complicated but I still liked them. The video game was great too

I was always fond of Ladyhawke, Willow, Stardust, and Dragonslayer myself. The old Harryhausen flicks like Jason and the Argonauts and Clash of the Titans are also really good.
The TV mini-series of The Odyssey with Armand Assante is also breddy goob. Really cool creature effects and beautiful scenery. Their depictions of Scylla and Charybdis in particular are great.
Some other fun fantasy TV mini-series would probably be Merlin (1998, stars Sam Neill), The Mists of Avalon, Gulliver's Travels, and Jason and the Argonauts (2000). They're all flawed, but strangely watchable.

I was liking it at first but by the time you finish it you will hate it, trust me.
And watch the new King Arthur by Guy Ritchie, I loved it, really underrated. Probably my favorite fantasy movie since LotR, alongside maybe Narnia, which I also recommend, at least the first one, didn't watch the others.
Warcraft is alright, but nothing special.
As for older movies, try Conan The Barbarian, Excalibur and Willow.
how is the cgi in this better than the Marvel movies?
I like the Vikings TV show, not really fantasy but it has some fantastical elements related to Norse Mythology.

I finished that yesterday. It has no direction, way too many characters with way little screentime and Jeff Bridges with speech impediment.

Not even joking. Works as a fantasy adventure and is meta as fuck with the antagonist being literally the death of imagination. Blew my mind as a kid. Also has one of the best theme songs ever along side Transformers The Movie and G.I. Joe The Movie!!!FACT!!! https://youtu.be/Gf1WT8VEZxk
