What did /tv/ think of Logan Lucky?
not bad at all, but not something i'd ever consider watching again.

It's total momcore but I enjoyed it. Sometimes it was funny, but I didn't find it all that tense when they were actually committing the heist. Also a lot of the contrivances were really testing my suspension of disbelief. But it was a solid effort and definitely makes me glad Soderbergh is back.

I actually found it refreshing that it wasn't trying to be edgy at all. Or patronising. If you said to me it was about people from the American south, involved nascar, and had a girl going to a beauty pageant I would expect it to be taking the piss out of all of those things, but it didn't.
typical Soderbergh kino
interesting mixture of subversiveness and crowdpleasing elements

Baby Driver, basically the same thing

yes it is a very earnest and sincere portrayal of southerners (some exceptions of course, like the younger Bang brothers). Like every Soderbergh movie, there are quite a few memorable side characters like the guy who owns a Ford dealership (who I believe was in The Office). Great music as well and I particularly enjoyed Daniel Craig's performance. Had no idea he had it in him.

It's not even close to the same

Baby Driver isn't fit to lick this movie's taint.

Those brothers were the comic relief so I didn't think much of it. I wonder if this is popular in the south. By all accounts it's a film made for them.

Yes as I was watching it I felt like this is the type of movie Smokey & The Bandit was in terms of being a light-hearted and fun movie made with that specific region in mind.
I enjoyed it more than I expected to
