That said it's a truly great film. It along with Dr. Strangelove champion the dark comedy genre

I think its popular, though it isn't pop culture rave tier. its too dark humour

that scene when collin farrel tries to off himself is stopped by his friend who was just about to kill him..those are the sscenarios good movies are made of. original and well played out
