Should've hired a full Japanese cast.. Even if it is set in America.

It's a live-action adaptation of an anime.

They ruined Light.
Light was a problematic guy who actually killed innocents in the anime. But he didn't kill anyone innocent in the adaptiation, that was all the work of Mia. Shame, really. Kind of makes you root for the guy instead of seeing that the Kira ideology is flawed.

Just finished it. By far among the worst of Netflix's offerings. It was like a 90s b-movie you'd see at blockbuster in the horror section - but without any of the charm.

Absolutely awful, forced, rushed and devoid of any emotion. I give one star for the decent soundtrack and a pretty cool chase scene near the end between L and Light.
