I'm not arguing that all Godzilla films are cinematic masterpieces, in fact I'd say the only genuinely fantastic films in the series are Gojira and Shin, but only a few Godzilla movies are BAD in the sense that they are total shit and utterly unenjoyable.

A sheet of notes had to be folded in a specific way in order to figure out Godzilla's genetic structure so that could be used to make the coagulant used against him during the finale. A scientist had already figured this information out, however, he was bitter about governments not listening to his warnings and losing his wife to radiation poisoning. So, before committing suicide, he left the information concerning Godzilla in an intentionally confusing manner partly as a test and partly out of spite.
