Fallout: New Vegas is £2.49 on Steam at the moment - I just got it and when it's installed I'm gonna install the Fallout Who Vegas Mod.

Has anyone here ever used it before and if so, is it any good / worth installing

>Did the fobwatch give you any information about a TARDIS nearby? A quick hop in one of those to Gallifrey and the Time Lords could probably help you out

Haven't thought about that. First, gotta deal with the cops. They happen to be looking for a, uh, mysterious Chinese elderly man.

>>86826708
That's lewd, anon. Also, don't you need a bunch of training in the Academy for that level of control?
>>
>>86826820
Fuck me, I just bought that the other day for full price, too. Oh well.

Anyways, yeah, I've got the mod and it's a lot of fun. The amount of detail that's in it is insane, and even after playing it for hours I've still not fully wrapped my head around all the advanced TARDIS controls (don't worry, the advanced stuff is optional!) but it feels pretty legit. I also got lost in the TARDIS corridors for, I shit thee not, hours. It feels as infinite as it's supposed to be, through some clever trickery, which is great... but until you get your bearings, expect to be wandering around confused for a while. Anyway, yeah: it's good.

My only gripe is that Eight's console room is sort of badly textured and doesn't do the real thing justice, but eh, I use it anyway.
>>
>>86826964
You only need training to control what you look like if you're a pussy ;)

Even River Song was able to control her dress size.

>>
>>86827170
Are you calling yourself one then? Just focus and you can do it.

The Doctor could do it to an extent - he managed to influence the size of his ears (adversely, though), he went young to be more accepted, he went to David Tennant so Rose would fuck him, and so on.
>>
>>86826964

A-Got beat up by a bunch of thugs

>Is it a total conversion mod or just a side thing you're able to do whenever you want?
Just a side thing, though a big one. The rest of the game is entirely untouched for the most part.

>does it have any Who-related weapons in it?
I'm afraid I don't currently know. You can use Seven's umbrella and One's cane as a weapon, technically. If you want to beat your enemies to death. And there's obviously a sonic screwdriver you can use. But I don't know about any guns or such - I haven't gotten far enough in the mod to know.

>What other monsters does it have in it?
Again, not gotten far enough to fully know, but I think it has Daleks, Silurians, Weeping Angels... Not sure about any others, but I think there are more than that.

Sorry, I'm not very helpful am I? I've only just scratched the surface of the mod myself!

This is the most important question /who/ can answer. Ever.
>>
>>86830519
go back to >>>/b/ or tardisposting if you want to be retarded.
On the off-chance you're not trolling and literally an idiot. Think of the last time someone said they were half anything and they actually meant 25%
Now see if you can think of a time they said "my mum is half whatever so i'm 25% whatever"
You will notice that they are different.

It was the best finale before The Doctor Falls.

Now it is the second best.

Not the episodes fault people overhyped it.
>>
>>86830649
But nobody ever says that they are half anything, anon. If they're mulatto, they just say "I'm black". Him saying half human implies him trying to describe the racial makeup of someone else to illustrate the difference in his makeup from someone who claims to be one or the other. This is what you should do: let /who/ die. Just let this old general gather dust. No one can open it, no one will even notice it. Let it become a strange little thing standing in the archives. And over the years, the world will move on, and the thread will be buried. And if you wanna remember me, then you can do one thing. That's all, one thing.

Have a good life. Do that for me, Gallifrey_Immigrant. Have a fantastic life.

Finished this. It was better than I expected, going by what others have said about it. I really enjoyed it, and the ending was funny. I understand some people felt disappointment given that it was advertised as a 50th anniversary special, and it didn't quite live up to what one might expect of something like that, but I thought it was pretty fun.

The only thing I wanted from it that I didn't get, was crossover interactions between a few characters. Like, I would've enjoyed Charley meeting Ace, maybe. Or something along those lines.

I'd give it a number rating, but I suck at doing that.

Yeah, I threw it at him. When I mentioned the Doctor, he punched me in the face. Then he went for my TARDIS. I threw the device at him, and it hit the wall. The walls started to shift (he said somehing about "morphic resonance) and then glow.

Next thing I knew, flames everywhere. I escaped in the chaos, and am now running away as fast as I can. He's following me, though! I'm bleeding a bit.

Hm. Maybe he's an enemy of the Doctor...?

You should find some place really obvious and leave a message, with the time and date. With any luck, the Doctor might stumble across it in his travels and he can come back and help you out.

Oh. Excellent, because I genuinely never have any idea how to condense my thoughts on stuff into numerical form. It oversimplifies it, I guess, and it's always hard to quantify when some parts of the story might've been equivalent to, say, a 1/10, whereas others are a 10/10 - so how on earth could you rate that? Find a happy medium? But averaging it out doesn't fully communicate just how good those 10/10 parts were, or the reverse for the bad bits. Bit of a pointless rating system, really.

also, unrelated, but this thread is severely lacking in mcgann. that must be fixed immediately

>Whittaker shares her feelings about becoming the Thirteenth Doctor: “Chris [Chibnall] wouldn’t have cast me as the Doctor because he wanted me to repeat anything that had gone before. >>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6ljFaKRTrI
>>
>>86846086
The point of that episode was that once you defeat the terrorists, you don't torture them. You don't hunt them down when they are no longer a threat. You don't hold it against people of the same race.

Don't take revenge. Don't be retributive. Just try to get to a peaceful situation, with as little violence as possible. Because anything else continues the cycle of violence.

but no one of the terrorists paid for their actions, people died and they got away with it because they changed their mind at the end, until it happens again because it was already something like the 15th time they reached a critical situation
>>
>>86846259
That's (in part) because the "kill em all" approaches creates horrible conditions that create impoverished people...who

>>86846290
>no one paid

Who gives a crap?

That's cold to say. But retribution rarely works. You just make the person who is being punished angry. The whole point is to stop thinking about consequences, and start thinking about solutions.

And as far as the episode is concerned, the Doctor stopped the leader. He cut the head off the snake. Not only that, but she now has to be the leader of peace, her identity subsumed. That's almost a punishment in itself.

However:

>until it happens again because it was already something like the 15th time they reached a critical situation

That's a fair point. But punishing the terrorists isn't the way to fix that issue either. The terrorists were mad that UNIT's assimilation policies were unjust. What the terrorists did in response to that was horrible, and cruel (that Zugon who kills himself is a very sad character)

But, to avoid another uprising, UNIT needs to work on their assimilation policy. Hopefully, UNIT learned from their own mistakes.

The Doctor meets Bradley Walsh, and they end up wanted by the Judoon/Shadow Proclamation for breaking laws of time or something in the course of saving Walsh's planet. They stick together as fugitives, get into scrapes on various planets/historical eras as usual while staying one step ahead of the authorities, and it ends in a two part courtroom drama homage to S23 where it's revealed the Shadow Proclamation is corrupt and working for [insert villain here]. It's almost like "change the words in Big Finish to their opposites" isn't so devastatingly clever that only one person would come up with it.

Going to be leaving for the trailer and without internet for the weekend, recommend a DW book to read while I'm there?
>>
>>86852261
Just found out toy sonics in my area are expensive.
>>
>>86852414
The Writer's Tale? It's on the books MEGA, mega.co.nz/#F!AU4DHDwb!OSayDSboo27IvIYZ0GCCuw underneath "History of the Show" in the Nonfiction folder, as "The Writer's Tale - The Final Chapter - The Definitive Story of the BBC series - Russell T Davies & Benjamin Cook". Loads of Tennant stuff in it.
Unless you can't have any device charged or anything and need a physical book.

>>86852496
I feel ya. I've got a 9 screwdriver from 2005, and a 11 screwdriver I got from /who/ secret santa a few years back, but getting one myself here would be 2expensive4me
>>
>>86849940
I already spent over 150, and probably should have spent more.
Worth it.

Ooh I have the PDF of that lying around and I haven't read it yet, I'll do that then!

I'm bringing my laptop, I can charge it and all, just no internet. It's going to be lots of Big Finish and DW books during the night.

It's a shame too because I really wanted a sonic for my own, Twelfth's specifically.

Imagine my disappointment when not only was it expensive, but the only ones available were the Tenth and Third Doctor's sonics.

In the end I just preordered pic related and a bust of Dia Kurosawa.

Both were cheaper than the sonics.

It's always been a pretty centre-left show unless Gareth is writing for it, you just didn't notice the subtle political themes until edgy alt-right YouTube edgelords started pointing them out to you.
