ITT: Disneyland/world stories

>be 10
>be near Disney World
>ask mom if we can go
>'no'
That's it.
>>86765365
Why do adults go there?
>>86765409
(Wo)manchildren
>>86765409
they are pedophiles. disneyland and world are both child human trafficking operations. thousands of kids go missing there every year yet nobody says anything until it's their kid.
>from UK
>queueing to get in park
>fat fuck yank in front notices accent
>asks if Im English
>say yes
>he asks if I own a pub
>just stare him out because hes a fucking moron asking shite like that
>>86765365
>be 12
>go to disneyland with older bro, mom, dad
>guy in mickey costume holds my hand takes me to room
>takes off costume
>hot handsome teenboy
>best day in my life
>>86765474
do you own a pub?
>>86765517
Are you grill?
>>86765670
no, boy.
>go to Disneyland
>win free fastpasses in contest
>still queue for hours in the fastpass line
>>86765474
are you paki or pole?
>>86765759
neither. Id have a guess you haven't stepped outside in a while though.
>>86765745
Fastpass is a scam for everyone, including the people that don't buy them.
>>86765458
This post makes no sense.
>>86765873
Neither does fucking babies.
>>86765409
I went with my brothers when I turned 21 and we went to Epcot to have "drinks around the world" in the world showcase. That was fun. I got some 30 something year old milf to flash me her tiddies so that was something
>>86765458
If nobody says anything unless it's their kid, do the kids that go missing just not have any parents?
>>86765474
>standing in line on some ride
>overhear the couple of us speaking with an English accent
>fat, white trash, unbelievably stereotypical, southern family behind us
>OUR DAUGHTER LOOOOOVES YO ACCENT. YALL SOUND LIKE HARRY POTTER
>>86766003
No it just means they can't see the forest from the trees.
>>86765365
I don't really have any Disneyland stories, got a SeaWorld one
>Be 12
>Be at SeaWorld in Orlando
>At the Dolphin Cove
>Its early in the morning (dad is marine, stickler for waking up early)
>Basically nobody there
>Walk up to the edge of the water
>Swear to Christ, a gorgeous bottlenose sticks his head out right there and just floats at perfect eye level
>Doesn't even vocalize for food just sits and looks at me
>I pet his snout
>He kinda smiles
>We stare at each other for a solid 30 seconds and then he leaves
>mfw I just actually had a magical experience at a theme park that will stick with me forever
Only theme park experience that honestly sticks out.
>>86766026
I believe it. Disneyworld is such trash. Just go on any review website like trip advisor if you want the truth. People get so swept up in "having the Disney experience" they don't even realize they're paying $150 to stand around fat sweaty white trash while standing in 2 hour lines to ride 40 year old rides
Frenchfrog here, I prefer the Parc Astérix
>>86766055
I understand this desu
The only Disneyworld park I ever go to is Animal Kingdom. It just doesn't seem as artificial
>>86766055
A heartwarming story, on MY /tv/?!
>>86766081
Grease is a good way to describe it.
>>86766003
>YALL SOUND LIKE HARRY POTTER
films in America were a mistake
>be kid in Disneyland Paris in the '90s
>want to take a pic with Captain Hook
>he only has interest in a group of qt teen girls and has to be literally dragged off to pose with the kids
>as soon as the pic is taken I look up at him
>at least, that's what I tried because he's vanished from my side in a matter of miliseconds
>right back with the girls
>feel somewhat sad
Now that I'm an adult I totally understand the guy in the suit, though.
>>86766055
This one got me
>>86766055
nice
>>86765458
I read sandman too haha
>>86765365
>Go to Shanghai Disneyland
>Overcrowded as fuck
>Filthy fucking western Chinese rednecks literally pushing and shoving you
>No semblance of order whatsoever
>Western Chinese walking through the flower beds destroying them
>Letting their kids piss and shit on the ground
>See drunk guy puke in the moat around the castle
>"Happiest place in all of China"
Never again
>>86765365
Been to Disneyland twice for weeklong trips.
>sister is little
>mom schedules breakfast in Cinderella's castle for our family of 5
>it's actually early in the morning
>were running late as usual
>get inside park
>oh fuck we forgot the breakfast tickets (or something like that)
>mom sprints back to car
>dad is carrying little sister at double pace on his shoulders
>my dad is a serious sweater and its Orlando in July
>so really fucking hot
>finally get to cinderellas castle
>look at dad
>he's sweating grotesquely and you can clearly see the sweat on his stomach the size of a bowling ball
>first thing we do is take a pic with hot ass Cinderella
>it's highly noticeable the stain on my dads stomach in the pic
I guess it's funnier as a family story
>>86766055
>be flipper
>my skin is sore from lesions caused by bacteria and fungi and rake marks
>another shitty day in the petting pool where I have to approach strangers that'll sexually assault my body in order to be fed a dead fish, because this institution starves my ass
>little bitch turns up
>probably another dumb cunt who projects human emotion on the shape of my face
>I mean, I literally look like I smile when I'm fucking dead too
>doesn't even feed me
>he gets to leave this place in freedom
>I die of pneumonia at a shockingly young age, like half of the other prisoners in this shithole
>>86766394
Why are Chinese people literal sub humans? It's like their brains are missing the part that has empathy and dignity
>>86766470
I thought it was pretty funny. Id bring it up as much as possible just to fuck with my dad
>>86766470
some things I've noticed at the parks:
>50% of the people are Brazilian
>75% of the people are foreign
>25% are morbidly obese
>price of water bottles is 400% higher
>fast pass lines are still long as fuck
>there's an unusually high number of honeymooners
>the space part of magic kingdom smells weird
>the water parks are underrated
>animal kingdom and epcot are boring as shit for any kid
>>86766516
Poster of original story here
This made me loose it, 9/10
>>86765365
>11 years old
>Really love Donald Duck
>Want to meet him in person so bad, even if I know it's just some guy in a costume
>Break off from family to try and find him
>Mickey, Goofy, Minnie etc etc all keep trying to get me to pose with them
>I ignore them and look everywhere desperately for Donald
>Finally see him sitting on a bench
>Give disposable camera to nearby Snow White and ask her to take a picture of me and my bro Donald
>Run up to him screaming Donald!
>He seems surprised and puts his arms up as if to protest but I park myself next to him anyway
>Immediately regret my decision as a wave of stench like I've never experienced washes over me
>It smelled like the most unholy combination of sweat, shit and asscrack sweat I've ever smelled
>Donald wraps his arm around my midsection hard enough to wind me as if to get revenge on me for springing myself on him like this
>Almost gagging but smile through it long enough for nearby Snow White to take picture for me
>Donald immediately lets me go and gets up before waddling away as fast as possible, a faint yellow brown stain on the back of the suit
>Family catches up to me and parents start yelling at me for running away from them
>Look down at where Donald was sitting and see a faint puddle of shit liquid across the seat
>Parents think I shit myself and start yelling at me for shitting myself in front of entire park
>I try to protest and look around for Snow White to defend me but she's nowhere to be seen
>Too choked up to defend myself and dad angrily takes me to bathroom and tells me to clean myself up
To this day my family still thinks I shit myself at disney world despite me telling them it was Donald. Still can't look at Donald Duck with getting irrationally mad at that fucker for making everyone think I shit myself either. pic very fucking related
I went to Disney world
I had a nice time.
Magic kingdom was overrated though. Epcot was underrated.
>>86766583
>the space part of magic kingdom smells weird
So its not just me...
>>86765474
Yanks are really strange people. They ask questions that are so baffling you don't know what to say.
>>86766519
Its not all of us desu, it only the landlocked Chinese. The coastal ones from here in Hong Kong and Shanghai are fine, but god help you if you deal with western Chinese. They're China's rednecks. And if you see a Chinese person doing something fucking disgusting, I'd bet money there from western China.
>>86766142
>Universal now has a Harry Potter area as well as Islands of Adventure
MAKE IT STOP
>>86766592
>>86766616
Its the results of decades of only mediocre public education on vast societal levels desu
I went when there was a world cup going on. It was infested with spic bitches
>Parent's bring me and sister to Disneyland Paris as a surprise trip in 2002
>I don't give a fuck about Disney or theme parks
>literally spend 3 days pretending to be overjoyed because I was aware of how much effort they went to
>can't wait to get back to Paris
>>86766583
>epcot are boring as shit for any kid
Hey FUCK YOU. I went to Epcot as a kid and loved it. Sure, there weren't any real rides, but the interactive part of it where there's loads of vague science shit was neato.
That and it's the nicest park because there aren't too many shitty kids and Americans don't seem to appreciate it as much.
>>86765365
Legoland Germany was really meh, how are other Legolands compared to it?
Having said that, all it had were some rides and those are usually whatever anyways.
>>86766470
Same guy:
>first trip to Disneyland or world don't remember which
>only 2 or 3
>pic of jasmine holding me
>my hand is right on her titty and I'm looking down at it
>to this day the hottest woman I've ever groped was when I was 2
Still a virgin at 19 too
>>86766592
kek
>>86766592
Y'know its rare, but when you find gold on this site you find it by the boatload
>>86766713
That's because most Americans are only interested in
>WOOOOOSH WOO HOO RIDES HAHAHA FAST FAST!!!
Whereas Epcot is more of an interactive/educational experience. I'm a burger but since I'm not fat southern white trash, Epcot is literally /myguy/
>>86766583
Whats wrong with Animal Kingdom? That fucking Dinosaur ride kills dude
>>86766833
Jurassic Park is better
>>86766783
>>86766713
I would like it more as a bit older kid but I was like 10 or 11 the last time I went and my family goes hard for trips like that. We get there when the park opens and leave when it closes and we do that for 6 days straight
>>86766686
You mean 1994?
>>86765365
>Be me as a young teen
>We drive straight by and go to universal instead of pedoland
>>86766833
The last time I was there the whole dinosaur part was closed
>>86766840
B-But as I kid as was 'fraid of rollercoasters
>>86766856
I wonder what universal will do about their Marvel bit when Disney owns Marvel now.
>>86766702
too late to go back now kid
>>86766897
There gonna turn it into Nintendoland like in Universal Japan
>>86765365
worked there this summer, ask me anything
>>86765834
Fastpass is free
>>86766081
Honestly it sucks, and they don't sell liquor in the main park so it was a beyond a bitch to sneak it in. And then when you get the the park everything is dumb expensive and you realize that all the Disney stuff you'd be excited to see it all but gone and been replaced with cape shit and Cars
Anyways it was nice and I did enjoy it but for the price hell no. I wasn't drunk enough to get over the screaming kids and the Florida heat. Also no matter how cool it was to take pictures with my favorite childhood character the novelty wears off, after your 3rd 30 minute line of the day. After the second night you realized you could have just paid half the price and gone to any other amusement park, and be having twice the fun becuase it's not crowded and actually caters to adults and not rich suburban parents. Like Disneyland is all style over substance and overall just capitalist marketing tool
Disney is super weird and culty to work at according to my friend I was meeting there. She's was doing the Infamous Vistaway college program and she said she loved the job going in but it's a bunch of happy go lucky 40+ year olds who have been working there 15 years and feel intimated by 18-20 year olds and do everything to sabotage their jobs.
>>86766892
What am I looking at? A floating kid?
>>86766967
What was your absolute worst experience?
>>86766991
Suicide creepypasta
>>86766592
lol
dude the actor probably had diarrhea and couldn't control it. I've been dealing with this shit for a week and you can't hardly tell if you feel the need to fart or piss out your ass. He took a gamble and lost, not his fault
>>86766991
It's implied the kid was hanged on some rope or cable.
>>86766967
What did you do?
>>86766740
post pic nigga, blur out yer face if you want, I just want to see a hot jasmine
>>86765365
> From Manchester, UK.
> Visited Disney World with family the day after the Grande Attack.
Americans are decent people sometimes.
>>86767111
You'd better have milked that shit for all it was worth.
>>86767081
It's at my parents house unfortunately but yes jasmine was of course hot as fug
>>86766974
>wait in line to go to some shitty ride that ends in a few minutes
As if they're that great.
>>86766994
there was nothing really that bad. closing was painful some nights, one night during extra magic hours (days parks are open later for guests staying at disney resorts) I was working until 2am.
some minor annoyances, like when I was bussing a dining room of roughly 60 tables with 50 tables occupied, 8 tables clean and 2 that I was about to clean, guests would always sit at one of the dirty tables and complain that it hadn't been cleaned yet
>>86767049
front of house quick service food and beverage. so fast food but not actually cooking, generally things like greeting, bussing, taking out trash, cleaning/restocking the restaurant's fixings bar, etc
>>86766592
>>86765365
Europapark in Germany is so much better than shit Disneyland
It is themed in countries
>>86767148
Barely got anything out of it. Probably should have hammed it up a bit more.
Some guy when I went to get ice cream spoke about how we need to remove kebab from the UK. So, that was pretty neat.
>go on Space Mountain when I'm too short to do so
What a horrible, horrible mistake. Height-check-woman, why did you have to look the other way?
>>86766967
Are the fuckdorms real
>>86767273
I always loved the Heide Park.
>>86766592
>Donald just casually sitting on a bench
>Snow White taking the picture for you
former Disney cast member from above. these things alone would never happen. nice try though.
>>86765365
went once to Paris. Was amazed about the amount of terminal cancer kids in wheelchairs roaming around.
it was shit experience. rides suck and everything is smaller than you expect.
>>86765900
What the fuck are you talking about?
>>86767303
I lived in the vista way (ostensibly the most notorious) but it's really not bad. it's literally like any other college dorm
>>86766592
>go to EuroDisney as a kid
>want to take a picture with Donald
>can't find him, even after we check where he should be
>eventually run into Scrooge
>he unironically sprints away from a couple of brown kids to take pictures with me and then sprints away from the brown kids again
Was it in-character?
>>86767193
This. I mean is haunted mansion or pirates of the Caribbean really that fuckin great or are we just brainwashed to enjoy them
>DUDE ITS FUCKING DINSEY!
You're sitting in a boat going like 3 mph looking at 40+ year old animatronics
>>86767306
I love Europapark, best park in Europe for me.
There are many people from France and Swiss too, but it is ok
>go to disney
>universal is much more fun
>>86767193
Canada's Wonderland was still one of the best vacations I've ever had.
You don't go to theme parks during peak hours and wake up early, you'll have a solid hour of riding whatever you want pretty quickly.
Anything can be boiled down to the most objective level if you wanna be a nihilistic faggot about it. Though I do think theme parks are a wonderful experience with friends.
>>86766897
Nintendo land and I need possible dc rides for the movies since six flags has rights to the cartoon. Universal and wb bros now since potter was wb
>>86767296
What's going on rides when you're too short for them like?
>>86767336
This was probably in the 80s or 90s you dweeb. Characters did in fact roam the parks
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hq6EKg96qyk
>>86767439
This is 10/10 cringe
>>86767381
Probably just didn't want to ruin the suit.
>>86766592
Yeah, you shit yourself and remember it wrong. The suits are so thick even back in the 80s that you could shit yourself and it's not leaving the suit. Source? i worked there as a mascot back then. Not as Donald though.
>>86767360
That's a little disappointing. I was under the impression it was like a giant orgy full of horny college kids fucking like rabbits in the hot Florida sun
>>86767391
I never went but I absolutely would've loved that multiple countries theme.
>>86767488
How old are you?
>>86767273
Canada's Wonderland is better then both kraut
>>86767439
>whining about not being invited
>when being a piece of shit is the reason people drop him from their lives
kek, entitled faggots and their no accountability
>>86767426
Imagine being a quarter in a can that someone is shaking.
>>86766519
>move 300 million peasants from extreme poverty to middle class in a decade due to amazing growth
>expecting them to have any semblance of manner
The real issue is they raise their kids to behave like chimps at a food buffet too.
>>86767417
Fuck yeah anon
>>86767495
No. It's more like Hot Topic kids mixed in with Chads and Stacys
Also they're pretty strict with a zero tolerance policy, but yeah it's pretty much just a college dorm.
If you can get in the program I say do it becuase it is truly and experience and looks good on a resume but don't expect the shit Youtubers boost it to
I've been waiting for this thread for so long
>be last year
>at magic kingdom waiting in line for haunted mansion
>line is so long still in the outside part
>random feel a guy push past me and says excuse me running the opposite way of the line
>think nothing of it, people get out of line all the time
>then it hits me
>the smell of a thousand dead animals and cabbage
>immediate turn to my dad and laugh "I think that guy shit himself"
>sitting around for a few minutes and the smell doesn't go away
>it gets worse
>everyone in line looking all around wondering what stinks
>finally pull out my phone and turn the light on(it was night time)
>liquid green magma all over the ground
>more shit than I think I've ever seen before
>people's shoes are splattered
>teenage girls are screaming, men are laughing, old women are trying not to throw up
>the line of shit pretty much went from the entrance to the mansion all the way to the invisible horse carriage in the front
>a few minutes later a fat black guy working there comes by with a little broom and trash collector
>"I heard there was a spill or something here?"
>everyone points to the poo river
>he stares in amazement, says "I hate my fucking life" and walks off
>me and my dad are trying not to die laughing
It definitely was a magical moment hard to beat.
>>86767584
Holy shit, I'm worth a quarter!
>>86767643
Do you have a family? How did you end up on /tv/?
>>86767585
All Chinese are awful. Japanese are too, they're just better at pretending to be human. Meanwhile /pol/ fantasies would have you believe Chinese are our friends. And Russia too for that matter. Asiatic despotic bullshit.
>>86767605
>Amerisharts
>>86767702
>muh supper sekret klub
My wife posts here all the time. I've been here for years. My friends came here last year for /pol/. Maybe it's because Floridians are weird, but 4chan is pretty regular now. I post when I'm on the shitter mostly. But once a week I'll get drunk and shitpost on /tv/ instead of reddit, just like my friends do.
>>86767704
What the fuck? Have you ever been on /pol/. Hating the chinese is one of the only things they can all agree on.
>>86767605
shart in park
>>86767417
>anything can be boiled down
Yeah, but you still wait hours for some shitty ride. idk what else there is to do at Disneyland, but Legoland for example is pretty shit at that.
And for some rides, I'd go to other places.
Waking up early is always quite important, but I wonder how much of a difference it makes waiting-wise
>>86767600
Zero tolerance if you're underage, I turned 21 during my program so that was sweet. But you're right, I imagine chads and stacys fuck a lot but I am neither
Once got on the Jaws ride at Universal with the most comically depressed actor I've ever seen. Shit was Oscar tier, some highlights I remember include
>Welcome to Amityville, where my liberal arts degree came to die!
>Chief Brody really did blow up that shark, and Robert Shaw really did drink that much on set
>I shoot this grenade launcher like Dick Cheney makes friends (he had just had the hunting accident like a week earlier so it was pretty topical)
>Its okay guys, lets go into the spooky abandoned boathouse, we'll be safe in there
>This fire isn't part of the ride actually...
>That sharks crispier than an Iraqi tank crew (once more this was Bush era)
All of this read in a monotone of self hatred that reached Richard Wright levels of uncomfortable. Still can't believe I heard this shit. Granted there was only like 7 people on the ride cause it was at night and it was probably the last show. Nobody was offended or anything either, I thought it was fucking hilarious and I was only 13. I hope to god nobody found him out and he didn't get fired.
>>86765474

I went to the one in Denmark and it was awful.
I also went to Warner Bros world (called MoviePark now, I think) in Germany which was a lot of fun because it was completely deserted. Really sub par C list park, but the experience of being there woth just my family was quite surreal. They even waited to start all the performances until we passed by since we were the only audience members.
>>86765365
I saw Josh Drake at a Disneyworld in Anaheim yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my park experience, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

When I was a kid I saw a dude get trampled. They open the gates and im not sure if they changed their process but it would cause a literal stampede of fat people and their kids as they attempted to get to their ride of choice before the lines accumulated. Dude got stomped over by a dozen people at least
>>86768634
It was in the morning and the weather was terrible. Also, from what I understand from Googling the park wasn't very popular and it was sold and rebranded not too long after.
>>86767811
Stay there.
>Went to Disneyland Paris

>"Nah mom I don't really care"
>"Wait what? No, after we'll buy the book and you will ask them too"
>"O-ok mom"
At the end I got a nice number of autographs, I still have that book in my room. Really pleasant vacation except for the weird smells in that park, the bad food and that time I was assaulted by a black clochard in Paris

>On September 12, 1992, a 37-year-old man entered Epcot after park closing and brandished a shotgun at three security guards, demanding to see his ex-girlfriend who worked at the park. He fired four blasts at the guards and took two of them hostage in a restroom near the Journey Into Imagination pavilion. As Orange County sheriff's deputies surrounded the area, the man released his hostages and emerged from the restroom with the shotgun held to his chest. After exchanging words with deputies, he put the gun to his head and fired. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Orlando Regional Medical Center. Investigators attributed his actions to a recent breakup with his long-time girlfriend.[62]

>In July 2012, a 41-year-old doctor from Naples, Italy, was arrested after allegedly kicking his three-year-old son in the face. According to arrest reports, several witnesses saw him kick his son while he sat in his stroller during an argument with his wife and children. An Epcot employee then "went up to the child and saw that his face was bloody and the child was crying hysterically". The doctor refused to let his son be taken to a hospital because he did not think the boy's injuries required further attention. Detectives noted that the boy's left eye was swollen and bruised with a cut below it. The doctor was eventually freed on a $2,000 bond after being arrested and charged with child abuse. Once back to Italy, he gave the media his own version of the story. He said that the incident occurred on June 30, 2012. He kicked his nine-year-old son after the boy overturned the stroller in which his little brother was seated. The toddler fell on his face and was therefore bleeding. One of the tourists, seeing the little child bleeding, called the police. The whole family was taken to a room and kept there for four hours; a young Italian woman on the premises, working for Disney, served as an emergency interpreter for the two parents; the man was then arrested and left in a police car for six hours before ending up jailed .[63][64]

As a kid Epcot was always my favorite. I loved the duality between the "hi-tec" and the worldly park.
My favorite ride was Ellen's Energy Adventure and that's because it was always so cool to see the screens disappear and to go through the dinosaur part.
Shame how they're renovating Epcot so much and removing alot of those hokey rides with actual props.
Soon all the major rides will be complex screen rides which never feel as real as a physical set piece.

>>86765365
>go to Disney World recently for a friend's wedding
>they have that dumb "meet Elsa and Anna" thing
>go in there and meet them
>they tell me what a handsome man i am
>get touchy and they don't seem to mind
>grab Elsa's ass as the guy takes the picture
>she doesn't mind and tells me towake up
>wake up and realize I jizzed myself in my sleep, its 5am and the wedding isn't for another 4 hours

It's literally stale water that's been recirculated a million times. Just store some water in a bucket for six months then start sniffing it.
>>86773573
it truly is a Magical Experience!™

>I'm completely serious when I say that the original Disneyland should be deemed a National Park. It's that important to American History.
I agree, but it's not a good thing.
It only means that American "history" is just the history of consumerism and rejection of actual values in favor of plastic dreams.
So yes, a bunch of underpaid mexicans going around costumed as copyrighted characters making people buy even more overpriced stuff they don't need should really be a part of American History.
>>86765365
>Go to Disneyland because I'm poor.
>Have a fucking blast on the Indy ride with the boulder.
>Finally get to go on a big rollercoaster
>Mom gets motion sick and throws up
>Says she is too messed up to ride any more rides.
>Says Dad and I can go ride shit but I feel like garbage because I'm 5 and want my mom to be happy with us.
>We just go back to the hotel.
>Only had enough money for one day.
>Leave.
I was happy back then but I actually resent my mom now for shit like that. It happened all the fucking time.
I've been twice.
I recently rewatched a video we took of our first trip and the first five minutes is my mum and my aunt in hysterics after seeing a todler that was so fat it needed to sit in a pram that was built for two kids.
>>86765474
we dont use the word "pub" here
he probably recently heard the word on TV or something and just wanted to test it out
>>86773704
Don't national parks get tax breaks?
I guarantee Disney agrees with you.
>>86773654
*turns out they were from sneeds
I have a sweet memory of my dad taking the family there, dispite not liking it at all.
He just wanted to be kind and the only moment where you could feel that he wasn't quite in the spirit was when, watching the parade, he said "I'm sick of watching Ducks on fucking cars."
>>86766081
dude you've gotta plan your trip for when it's raining
all the rides stay open and there are literally no lines
I was in paris last week but didn't get a chance to visit disneyland. Paris Disney is better than american one right?
>>86773704
I've been to Disneyworld and Universal Studios at least 20 times. No regrets. It's not even like I'm local, I'm from England.
>>86772858
That's bullshit for a $400 a night resort. I'm nowhere near "that guy" but I would've made them switch rooms
>>86766892
Bullshit. That pic is from the chinese knock-off ride of Small World. Before there was an official Disney Park there, they built a shameless rip off park complete with castle at the center and rides (don't remember the name, unfortunately).
>go to Japan at Epcot
>enter the big store
>all the Japanese employees I pass by bowing with a smile
>that Engrish at the register
>>86773743
western chinese as in from the western part of china you retard
I worked at Disneylandactually California Adventurefor a while. The employees tend to come in 4 types:
>teens and 20-somethings just there for a job. Probably work here because it's within distance of the closest bus route. Super normies that don't know shit about Disney.
>Disney freaks that think doing menial labour there is a dream career. You can tell where this person is parked in the employee lot because they all drive shitty beat up cars covered in Disney/Marvel/Star Wars decals. Very annoying.
>Middle-age and older people, either never managed to escape, or are just in semi-retirement. Usually have a screw loose from being out in the sun too long. Generally doesn't give a shit about "Disney Spirit" stuff.
>Stage managers and other middle/upper management types, wound tight and generally neurotic. No uniforms, but always "dressed to impress". Paranoid about getting shit on by the people with actual power which makes 'em touchy and controlling. If you ant to work there longer than a month and not lose your mind it's important to find out which ones are strict but still decent human beings, and which ones are power-hungry egomaniacs. 4/5 times will have one of those little trash grabbers in an attempt to show off to other managers that they have "DISNEY SPIRIT" and therefore better than you and deserve a promotion.
That's mostly just the "on-stage" people. The backstage crew like chefs and engineers have their own cliques.
>>86773951
honestly the best in the world are the ones in Hong Kong and Shanghai
>>86773062
I hear that. I've been to Disney every year, sometimes twice, from the age of 7-16. I haven't gone since 2015 and won't for a while because of all of the renovations. Probably going to plan on having kids in the next 3 or 4 years so let's see what happens
>>86773852
I guess you could take it that way. But it's historical significance lies in the fact that Walt essentially created a new art from. The attention to detail and the artistic endeavors created with Disneyland are worthy of serious academic and artistic criticism.
Pirates of the Carribbean, for example, is essentially a unique twist on Dante's Inferno.
>>86773438
>tfw eating dinner in the blue bayou with the smell of Disney water all around us
Fucking expensive as hell, but so comfy.
>>86774038
The college kids from upper class families that go through the rigorous application process and act like getting chosen to work a t-shirt shop is a dream come true and this is some huge life changing experience are my favorite.
>>86773951
Not if you speak English, all the staff were very rude to my family.
Any Six Flags /Drayton manor stories?
>>86773818
that's the thing, they put something in it so it doesn't smell like swamp
>>86774168
>all the staff were very rude to my family.
Why?
>>86773951
Paris has great aesthetics and atmosphere. In terms of attractions it's lacking.
If you are in Europe and want to see a top-tier theme park (emphasis on theme) check out Efteling.
>>86774115
get a load from this guy. are videogames art too?
>>86766592
The story is true. I am a Los Angeles native and have spent a very long time in Disneyland through there original season passes. Most of the actors are little black pygmies or Guatemalans
I saw some guy proposing to his girlfriend at disney when I was about 16 with my family. A bunch of people were taking photos which I would have been in so I started scratching my balls.
>mfw nobody seemed to notice
Back to the Future was a million times better than the shitty Simpsons ride that replaces it.
>>86773949
wow a cartoon projected into a mannequin, so epic xD
>>86774203
Because we were Brits and didn't speak French I assume.
They were very short with us and didn't smile as much as they did to the frogs in front of us.
>>86773859
Lol
>>86765474
So do you own a pub?
>>86773999
Nice trips. They're cute as heck in that store
>>86774338
That's funny because I too am Brit and went Disneyland Paris when younger. I dont remember much but senpai said the French were rude too.
>>86774014
there is only one West
>>86773852
I doubt that the costumed cast members would ever be Mexican unless said character is. They're really strict about who gets to dress up as The Mouse and Co. and who doesn't.
>>86774212
Yeah it seems like a ridiculous claim on the surface level. But take a look at something as innocuous as The Riverbelle Terrace restaurant. It aesthetically has to be cohesive with three different lands and aesthetic styles (Adventureland, New Orleans Square, and Frontierland). Without the PERFECT aesthetic architectural choice, the building would fail and look out of place. Instead it ties all three together perfectly. This is all just one restaurant too. The entire park is aesthetically planned out to near perfection. Everything from sight lines to architectural styles to color palettes to music and even fucking SMELLS are coordinated to evoke some desired response.
That water smell that >>86773438 talks about? They enhance that shit purposefully.
my friend had his catalytic converter stolen from his truck in the Disneyland parking lot...if you knew the guy in person you would have a kek because hes just that kind of guy
>>86774169
>went to six flags great adventure
>niggers everywhere
>trying to sneak in the front gate
>stealing people's coke cans
>jumping in line
It was awful

It was in Florida, I have no idea if they were from Florida but I doubt it.
I'm guessing your family aren't 300lb, fanny pack wearing, trailer trash.

>>86774332

>>86774140
Yeah. I wonder how hard it fucks with them when they realize it's just the same as any other crummy retail job, just with stricter rules. [
>>86774466
>>86774540
Don't listen to this dipshit. I agree with you that it's all very interesting and it's easy to go the jaded route of "Who cares it's just all, like, bland consumerism maaaan". What Walt Disney did with the park is truly amazing and a spectacle of human achievement regardless of whether it's all set up to "trick" you into feeling magical. If you never got to see a Disney park when you were young enough to still be innocent but not too young so as to not really remember, then you missed out.

>>86770319
They would certainly not be allowed to take photos of people. They have to stay in character at all times, and have a handler near by usually to deal with stuff like that anyway.
Sitting down for any reason other than for some in character reason would also be a big no no. If the character had a problem, the park has numerous ways for them to leave the public area and deal with it.
>>86772692
Adulthood is knowing the lazy river is best
Why are threads that only slightly meet the criteria of the board always the comfiest?
>>86775212
Because nobody actually gives a shit about television/film we're just a bunch of shit posting assholes with generally the same interests and hobbies
>>86774718
Part of the genius of Disneyland is it's subtlety. People don't even realize that the reason it's so 'special' and 'loved' is precisely because of the immense detail and thought which went into creating the place. Anyone can go to a Six Flags or Cedar Fair park and get Le Epic Rollercoasters but all that shit lacks the emotional attachment people feel towards Disneyland/WDW. A lot of it does have to do with marketing/branding admittedly, but a big reason people always return to Disney parks is for total immersion.
>>86773350
I don't know if the food hurts more going on or coming out.

My friends,I still randomly remember the time I lead the charge and stumbled up a lumber jack competition.
It was dudes RUNNING up trees, unholstering a chainsaw, cutting the top of then running back down.
Two dudes stand on a log floating in water, one dude leaves.
Too much for my 7 year old mind.
Almost 30 years later and I get so excited thinking about it.
And afterwards, COUNTRY BEAR JAM BA ROO.
Honestly don't think I enjoyed life that much ever since.
Google lumber jack competition
