I just rewatched it the other day and not only does Sheev win but Yoda retreats, hides in the air duct, and, in a panic, calls for help and gets the fuck out of there. He knew he was beaten. What's worse is that Sheev beat him without even using his special Sheev Spin move, or by activating his special Force buff, "It's Treason Then" which gives him a natural 20 for his first attack.

It doesn't just cauterize the wound, it burns it so horribly that the internal organs would be useless. Say you got stabbed in the stomach, like Qui-Gon did. It probably erupted his stomach and burned through all of his intestines and such so severely it looked like ground zero inside his belly.

Now, getting stabbed by a regular blade just lacerates them. There's still a huge danger of dying, but a lightsaber just destroys your body.

The Emperor was surrounded by stormtroopers. Its not like Luke vs Vader where they honorable duels. Sheev would have gone to any length to kill Yoda after that point and likely began to surround himself with cabals of guards and spies. Remember that those clones killed all the Jedi Masters, Yoda couldnt fend off a whole platoon after sneaking into Sheev's castle.

You're referring to the Sith Empire of the Old Republic era, a good 4000 years before Sheev was even alive. I understand your confusion now - you're mixing up eras and confusing the Old Republic era Sith with the OT era Empire.

Plageius was Sheev's former master and he was eventually killed and had his mantle usurped. Later Sheev formed the "first Galactic Empire", a good 4000 years after the stuff you're talking about.

Now, if you're wondering why Sheev calls it "first", that could be because Lucas didn't know his own canon, Sheev was just being ignorant/prideful (saying his empire is the first true empire), or just the complete disregard for the Old Republic lore.
