>On Saipan in the Marianas Islands, he advanced ahead of his unit with a bazooka and destroyed a Japanese emplacement which was firing on his company. Several days later, he single-handedly attacked and killed two groups of Japanese soldiers. On July 7, Baker's position came under attack by a large Japanese force. Although seriously wounded early in the attack, he refused to be evacuated and continued to fight in the close-range battle until running out of ammunition. When a comrade was wounded while trying to carry him to safety, Baker insisted that he be left behind. At his request, his comrades left him propped against a tree and gave him a pistol, which had eight bullets remaining. When American forces retook the position, they found the pistol, now empty, and eight dead Japanese soldiers around Baker's body
Can't really post any relevant images, but let me pitch a story anyway.
Anyone here familiar with the town of Whittier, Alaska? It's known as "the town under one roof", mainly because it's residents all live in the exact same apartment complex. The only way in is through a small tunnel, which only goes one way.
I'm thinking, what if there was a vampire movie set in this sort of one-roof town? Like a claustrophobic 30 Days Of Night.
I could go for that. Something like Fargo.
Also, something about the life of Mad Jack Churchill. The only confirmed man to score a Longbow kill in WWII. Always went into battle with a Scottish Longsword and bagpipes.
Played by either Johnny Depp or Benedict Cumberbatch.
Movie about drug dealers in this futuristic city
I don't think that image is from Tekkokinkreet. It's is artistically similar however. TK isn't really about drug dealers either, though I seem to recall there is an element of drug dealing in it, but it's far and away from the main focus.
>Gurmukh Singh, who communicated the battle with Col. Haughton, was the last Sikh defender. He is stated to have killed 20 Afghans, the Pashtuns having to set fire to the post to kill him. As he was dying he was said to have yelled repeatedly the Sikh battle-cry "Bole So Nihal, Sat Sri Akal" (Shout Aloud in Ecstasy! True is the Great Timeless One). "Akal," meaning Immortal, beyond death, the Supreme Creator God unbound by time and non-temporal.
I'd love to see it
I wouldn't mind seeing an R-rated movie about a kid who goes full Punisher/vigillante against bullies hurting nerds in his school.
All gore, kids getting their heads cut in half, guts, screaming with Batkid running around with a sword and mask. Mite be cool
as a Rorschach prequel.
Meant to post this pic
I've always liked this image but i've never been able to find a source for it. It looks like it would make a pretty good movie though.
>Austrian army is scouting for the Ottoman army, finds Gypsies instead
>Scouts proceed to get blackout drunk with them
>A group of Austrian Infantry arrives and demand some Schnaps for themselves
>Scouts will have none of that, set up make shift barriers around the barrels
>One guy fires a shot
>Infantry proceeds to battle their own scouts
>Someone shouts "Turks"
>Turkish camp sees the fleeing troops
>Commander thinks they are under attack, orders artillery fire
>Soon everyone is fighting everyone
>The Austrian army proceeds to retreat from itself
>The Holy Roman Emporer is pushed of his horse into a creek
>Two days later the Ottoman army arrives
>They see 10.000 dead austrians and have no idea what's going on
Of course no one in modern times would know who he is unless they gave a flying fuck about history
>mfw reading about diogenes fucking with other people
The guy was a legend, it would be a great movie
Plot: Battle Royale/Hunger Games between everyone in this picture
how about a movie or documentary where this guy just fucks up a bunch of annoying pests
>The situation was made worse when officers, in an attempt to restore order, shouted "Halt! Halt!" which was misheard by soldiers with no knowledge of German as "Allah! Allah!"
On the surface it's a comedy, but beneath that veneer is a powerful story filled with emotion as the children are confronted with loss of innocence.
They all die at the end. All the women in the audience cry.
It doesn't matter, most of Hollywood are Jews, they're not going to make a movie glorifying a guy who mowed down the Soviets in WW2, ie their allies.
Also most Americans don't know shit about the Winter War so they won't really understand how Finland is supposed to be good when they're killing America's WW2 allies.
Yeah, I could actually imagine a film like this having a lighthearted air about it.
Then something major happens, like a kid or two dies, while the film continues with its lighthearted tone, and the audience realizes that it's because the kids are still young and innocent and can't, or refuse to, see the situation for what it is.
Then in the end, there will be only one or two left, and it looks like it'll turn out sad, but they'll hold onto that innocence at the last moment, and go out on another lighthearted note. Which will make the film all the more tearjerking because it means the kids died happy and innocent as they lived.
Directed by Christopher Nolan
I get that its meant to be that theyre just killing time (pun intended) until the guy dies, but I like the whole thing about how if you challenge death to w/e and win you get to live. it would be an interesting way to end the movie if the angel wins and they nonchalantly agree to visit him again in a year
>sha-mone lizzayyy OW kiss mah bad self HEE HEE das rite sha-MONE marlone OW yeah marlone one baaaaad motherfucka das rite HEE HEE we's runnin from nine eleven das some baaad shit rite der lizzayy OW CHA sha-MONE HEE HEE KISS mah bad self OW nine eleven some ign'ant shit marlone das rite motherfuckin sha-MONE
Seventh Seal? I haven't seen it but I think that's what you're thinking of.
Also pic related.
You know, I'd love to see a The Raid-esque movie but more sci-fi in this place.
"What if America went undiscovered" or something
I'm currently reading a book on pre-columbian Americas and this would be an amazing idea for a movie.
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Dentures
coming soon to Lifetime
I would watch the biopic on the life of a black breton yazidi roman emperor.
like boyhood but for a dog, doghood
same dog filmed for 12 years
A movie about Godzilla, only his head alone is the size of Australia
>giant Zilla (not true Godzilla)
>gets shrekt by missiles
Looks like Christmas in my family.
Exposition isn't enough for Americans. Look at Fury:
>every fifth shot is a tracer so you can see where you're shooting
>hurr fucking lasers in WWII
Americans have to spoon fed information so fucking bad and have their dribble cleaned up to boot.
CWC biopic, including his search for love, his transition into a lesbian and his fall into crime. Directed by Almodovar.
Bill Watterson has so many cool drawings
