Hey, I want more original lightsabers.
Pls post what you've got.
son, you're looking for logical consistency in a photoshop thread about lightsabers on a weeaboo's discussion board
where on god's green earth do you fucking think you are?
IT'S A LIGHTSABER THAT SHOOTS LIGHTSABERS
No one cared who I was until I joined the dark side
When I first saw the trailer, this is what I pictured in my mind about how they should have made it, it makes sense in combat, it looks functional (not chopping your arms) and it doesnt look stupid as shit
>An elegant weapon
>from a more civilized age.
close, but here is a more secure design that also gives the holder better thrusting grip.
5 minutes in photoshop
It depends if the beams from each of the 3 parts can intercept each other.
If they can intercept, yours is better.
If they can't his is better.
The pic is your design assuming they can't intercept. (drew it yesterday)
Wait a second, someone could still cut off those connectors.
Better add some protection for them
>not knowing how lightsabers work
Looks better, makes less sense
>>51004305 because >>51008036
Lightsabers are beams of light emitted from a crystal in one direction. Having some perpendicular part of one beam does not fit any of the canon lightsabers. Normal ones, double-sabers, whips, any of that makes sense. This image sadly does not. Though again, it does look really cool.
Why has no one made an armor made of lightsaber plasma
>in a science fiction movie
now try to throw shit at my animu reaction image, I'm waiting
Concept is simple, unblockable attacks.
Give four of these too that robot sith and it's all orge.
If anyone tried to block a hit from this their lightsaber will get pressed into their own body.
I thought the same thing. Now mind you, I don't know the canonical explanation for whether they could just go through each other like that or how stable it woudl be, so something with a little less finesse like this might need to be done, but it works all the same.
I heard there was a high demand for lightsabers, so I made this.
Basically it's just a lightsaber with weights on it. The weights could even detatch from the lightsaber. Not a single strike can be blocked.
You use it like a throwing hoop, when it lands over someone's head they get chopped up
Dindu Nuffin, I'm Jedi Order.
>finally a lightsaber with a crossguard
>the crossguard is absolutely fucking useless because it's vulnerable at the exact points that it shouldn't be
> not having a mech with lightsabers
>not just getting a lightfence
I seriously hope you padawans don't do this.
>Nobody has made a lightspear
Why is this not a thing? Can you imagine the fucking advantage you'd have over your opponent?
>It's not like they can chop it at the wood like a traditional spear
>It'd be a longish hilt with a massively long saber blade
>Implying this isn't the ultimate weapon and a decent new additional to light sabers
> or a mech with a dual saber scythe
the light saber is fine, stop trying to look for every little thing from the trailer to mock.
Yeah, the guards can be chopped off, but you know how in the original trilogy lightsaber fights weren't retardedly gymnastic? Well luke and vader would often lock sabers and struggled with each other, and from that position with the new lightsaber you can put a beam into someone's chest with a punching motion.
very practical, and you are all meanies.
actually not true, since light doesn't have weight it would very easy to flick the lightsaber up and out of the way with your lightsaber. You basically just built a lever for your opponent to disarm you with.
Once you get close enough, the person with the very long beam is now fucked.
This is why the short crossbar beams is useful, for very close quarter fighting
Except when it is thrown in the movies it's center of balance is towards the middle of the whole lightsaber, not the middle of the hilt, which is what you would expect if it was weightless.
angling it upwards would mess up fighting, causing your opponent to hit the underside of the guard and bounce his blade towards you.
If you know anything about swords, that design is basically never used outside of video games. Also you can't catch blaster bolts near the hilt and send them back in the same direction.
I like the design, it looks clean and functional to me. I can understand people not liking the emitters sticking out so much, but to me that looks a bit shit, like now you just have a T shaped beam instead of three beams.
And yeah it can be cut, but jedis got on fine without crossguards before.
Just don't see the crossguards as defensive and the design makes sense imo
>I NEED SABER-CHUKS
