Actually laughed out loud. Stick to imdb with your trendy to praise shit. How dare you even mention a masterpiece like Inside Llewyn Davis next to schlock like The Master and meme actor melodrama like Jagten.
I laughed solidly for 3 whole minutes. The guy who wrote that Beatles copypasta everyone circlejerks likes fucking SNOWPIERCER?
I actually opened my window and then shouted the word "KEK" as loud as I could.
>I actually opened my window and then shouted the word "KEK" as loud as I could.
What's so bad about it? Easily my favorite movies from the past year or two
>The rich are right
>The poor are right
>Director kills them all because they are all power tripping retards.
It's been a good decade so far imo.

The Tree of Life
Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives
2012 leviathan, haven't seen the other yet.
Side Note: Manakamana was fantastic as well. Saw it in theaters last week.
maybe picture related, but I couldn't tell you because it never came out like they said it would last month
>Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives
>Tree of Life
You only fucked up once there, kid. Otherwise, good taste.
Where do you live that works of art are banned for decades?
the fuck are u doing man
I just watched this last night and totally agree. I can respect that it showed a weak character and actually made them face the consequences for their actions though instead of magically making everything work out for him.
My only gripe was that they should have tried harder to fight in the final scene. They had
a bunch of arrows and a crowbar it looked like. I thought they could have killed some from inside the car
What the fuck is Uncle Boonme about. It looks spooky.
I dunno if this counts as this year or last year but it was really good.
I thought OP was also satirical because he posted SB, which is clearly inferior P&G.
>I don't think "shittily" is an actual word
>not understanding how common language works
>I don't think "shittily" is an actual word.
It's fitting how every time you write something it is completely stupid statement.
Yeah, the big guy was likeable and rational in the face of the apocalypse, while the other guy was whingy all the way through, and eventually triggered their ultimate demise.
The big Guy's vow of vengeance at the end was done pretty well, and the open ending made the film one of my top 5 zombie movies.
I watched it all the way through, and could not understand what the hell the point was. I guess it's supposed to be interpreted like "modern art" is, up to the eye of the beholder.
I didn't like it. They had the opportunity to go full PeterWatkins, and turned to abstract new wave instead.
There's an image similar to this with Beyond the Black Rainbow and some other films -- and I think it had a pastebin attached to it.
Does anyone have that? There was a movie on there I wanted to look into but forgot the name of.
OK there is literally no way of telling what these are without asking you. So I'm fucking giving in to your desperate need for attention and asking you for the titles of these films.

Because all those patrcians posting images with awful crops are deep down really insecure and just seek acceptance from anonymous community.
Dont bash them. Ask them what those movies are, so they feel they have some meaning and self-worth
You can feel better than me all you want and keep stroking your ego, but if someone genuinely wants to get interested in higher quality films, why deny them that? Shouldn't you be excited to let some else experience "patrician" films, and then throw names around when they come back and don't like it?

>still no norte and stray dogs torrents
at least Florentina Hubaldo CTE is finally on karagarga (members collected money for the bluray afaik)
Yeah, sorry about that man, didn't mean to quote your post as well. My bad. Thanks for the honest reply
Wow, you're really participating in some genuine conversation here, just like I'd expect from someone who watches such great art
>I only even converse with people who watch the same films as me!
Why do you even come to /tv/, then, it's obvious this place isn't good enough for you
This is like if you denied people access to certain painting/books "because they wouldn't even be able to appreciate them anyways"
Every Hannibal pleb thought that The Hunt was "based Mads muh feels but who shot the gun?" You people who think that you're more discerning than the average cinephile for watching the most entry level cinema imaginable are infuriating. PTA hasn't done anything "new" in his entire career.
>are you mad
>Has that phrase lost all meaning because it's a meme?
yes, same applies for pleb/patrician/entry level and on
Try to use these words in real life while discussing cinema with your only friend
stop fooling around you hipster queers, this is the only worth saving post-2010 film
The sad thing about this post is that it looks like parody but it was probably sincere. I just feel embarrassed for the guy. Only a couple of films that would even place on a list of the top 100 films of the decade so far.
I'm not really even interested in that, it's just interesting to know that "patrician" film culture is just as full of people with their heads up their asses as "pleb" film culture is
What if I'm interested in broadening my horizons? That's not an option, apparently
But you would do it because a picture of films whose names you don't know got you angry enough to react like that, not because you wanted to dicuss those films, or thought they were the best of the last decade. I hope you see there's no reason for you to be in this thread.
So this is just another "u mad" post?
>not because you wanted to dicuss those films
I don't see any discussion, just the usually /b/ tier daily trolling thread.
>I hope you see there's no reason for you to be in this thread.
You got a point, I'm not 15 anymore, unfortunately
You don't see any discussion because plebs like you got angry at things you don't understand, like you always do (it's part of what makes you a pleb), and turned it into a shitflinging contest. If you had been less primitive and agressive you could have observed discussion (of course not partaken in it).
>you wanted to dicuss those films
That's exactly what you don't do though. You are just shitposting in this thread and don't have any actual arguments. (The person you are ?a??r??g??u??i??n??g? shitposting with isn't any better though)
Another lolumad post, classic 4chan.
>you could have observed discussion (of course not partaken in it
I was just stating a fact, I don't see the point in discussing cinema with clueless people like you
>you could have observed discussion (of course not partaken in it).
"u mad" being a meme doesn't mean the condition of being mad doesn't exist. You are mad, that's why you replied with "/b/ tier trolling" when someone accused you of being a pleb. Don't think it isn't obvious. The fact you were involuntarily demonstrating was how much being aware that there are people here who know more about film than you makes you insecure.
>"u mad" being a meme doesn't mean the condition of being mad doesn't exist.
absolutely but this is not the case.
>You are mad, that's why you replied with "/b/ tier trolling" when someone accused you of being a pleb
This is /b/ tier trolling because you and your friends shitpost in every single list X or top X thread, I don't know what are you trying to prove, if you don't like these threads or if you're just that juvenile, either way its the same thing every day.
> that there are people here who know more about film than you makes you insecure.
Yeah making grids sure shows a lot of knowledge
>no Under the Skin
Come on, mate.
You don't understand anything, why are you continuing this? Did you not know before this thread or the previous ones that you are not the most knowledgable person on the planet? Why does being confronted with such persons upset you that much? It's a fact of life you should accommodate yourself with. You haven't named any film at all, how long will you keep trying to convince yourself (because only you are dumb enough to fall for it) that it isn't you who has no business being in this thread?
>Did you not know before this thread or the previous ones that you are not the most knowledgable person on the planet?
Yes, I just said that you're clueless, that's why you are playing safe.
>Why does being confronted with such persons upset you that much?
With trolls? That's their point, isnt it?
Did you get what I wrote or are you just trying to save your dignity? You haven't made any attempt to contribute to the thread, you got angry at others who did. What's the problem with simply leaving when you see something that's over your head or beyond your reach as a cinephile?
I don't see your problem. Nobody is forcing you to look at this thread. You don't want to dicuss cinema, you want others not to post things you don't know and understand. Do you know what you want? It seems like you don't, and that's the reason for "u mad", because you are and it's your only reason for still responding.
calling someone a pleb without arguments is pretty pleb tbh
How about you use some actual arguments to explain why >>46406161 is bad. You called it shit/pleb in a previous post after all (or at least I asume it was you). With your incredible taste and knowledge you should be able to do that, right?
Try not to use any buzzwords please. It makes it hard to take you seriously.
this is a 2-part question for the /tv/ patricians
is it possible to be a patrician without going to film festivals? and if not, what hobby should i take up so i can continue to feel superior without leaving the basement?
The first time in this thread. Where's your attempt at film discussion? Are the others always at fault for not giving you the right framework, presenting you with pleb movies you know, so you don't have to feel inadequate and start an hour-long discussion driven by your inadequacy?
>Where's your attempt at film discussion?
Lets discuss this movie, what do you think about it? Opinions, thoughts?
Thanks for this! Now I don't even have to argue with him anymore, because he is exactly the kind of person I thought he was (the kind of guy that posts grids without ever actuallly talking about film, pretty much the definition of the typical "patrician" poseur). His lack of arguments and the use of buzzwords made it pretty obvious anyway.
I agree that some of the interviews have a bit of a conspiracy theory feel to it, but I don't really see it as a flaw of the film itself. It's not like the film makers pretend that everything the families say is the absolute truth.
I already said you'd only do that as a reaction for being confronted with people more knowledgable than you are, amusing to see you took your time to find a shot though. One day you will get over it, not tonight, but one day you will feel indifferent about being a pleb again, I promise.
I'm "arguing" with you and I didn't post those pics. The "it's all just one guy" defence mechanism doesn't work unfortunately, since there are more grid pics than this in this thread alone.
