It's pretty good. The tone is strange, but it's the kind of show that slowly reveals what it's actually about so it might make more sense later on. Also, incest rules.
What's something you'd like to see more in American films?

I'd like to see more stories about Cuban-Americans. I know we're a small ethnic group, but our stories, especially those of us who are descended from ordinary decent people (not the rich gusanos) really sort of embody the American dream. These people fought against heartless communists, on behalf of a government they never much cared for....then Washington abandoned them to that heartless communist. And they had to either flee or be tortured/shot by Castro's goons.
I'm a little annoyed that our only big movie is an Italian guy playing a Cuban gangster.
when are they gonna start referencing Beetlejuice and Full Metal Jacket?
>tells us the new season takes place at Halloween
>nerdy kids who play dnd in the 80's
>they're a group of 4
>too old for tmnt
>a straight-horror themed costume set would be too wacky
>analyzing the image implies the new season will have more ghost-related scariness
the people on this fucking board I swear.
annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd................................. DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPED!
dude it's the 80's HAHAHA
Can we please talk about how fucking forced this was? what on earth was Rowling thinking?

Multiple threads again. Thanks, faggot.

Why are all epic fantasy movies bad except Conan the Barbarian, Excalibur, and the Lord of the Rings trilogy?
excalibur and lotr were pretty shit though.
>>79115702
Ladyhawke, Stardust, Willow, and Dragonslayer are alright.
To answer your question, it's because a fantasy film has to tell a compelling story while being different enough from our world to inspire wonder, while simultaneously being similar enough to our world to have emotional resonance. It's quite a set of hoops for a writer to jump through.
Because fantasy, as a genre, caters to manchildren who need escapism and inculcates a twisted view of reality that serves hollywood's liberal agenda that every story must have a voldemort and a palpatine.
Well well, looks like this will shut the mouths of the dumb DCEUfags saying there was a big critics' Marvel-paid conspiracy against DC and WB
Too late, they already adapted their narrative around this, don't try to convince them, defending objectively bad flicks like man of steel and batman v superman fried their brain and they can only talk in memes now
>>79115672
DCEU fags are literally the worst. If you like the movies, then fine, but don't throw shit around when other people don't. If you do that, the world would actually be a better place if you literally killed yourself.
There is indeed a conspiracy thanks for clarifying

enlighten me with some essential /contrarian-core/ then
I want a movie that will actually keep my interest the entire way through. Is there any hope for me, or am I so desensitized and knowledgable about the so-called "tricks of the biz" that I'll never be able to enjoy a movie again? Please recommend me something good, /tv/.
>>79114861
>>79114859
How the fuck should I know? You haven't described what you find interesting in a movie. Either go into more detail or go somewhere else to be spoonfed.
>>79115014
I like GOOD movies. I'm not some bloviating retard who has a preference for watching fast cars or movies about cowboys or whatever limitations being a genre fanatic would impose on one's watching habits. What's interesting to me is a movie that is smart, surprising, or otherwise intriguing. There are lots of ways to achieve these qualities. What does anyone find interesting in a movie? An inspired script, high stakes, characters with depth and personality, risky concepts executed well, etc. I don't give a shit what it's about. I just want something that will take me out of the world for a little while. Surely even a hard little cold-hearted pissant like you could understand that?
>>79115376
So go look at IMDB and pick a top rated movie. I can't be bothered to do your work for you.
This is a cute little movie.
OK?
Dan was a dick
Britt was a cutee in this movie
