>Doctor Strange makes more at the box office than Superman
What went wrong? Superman is a cultural icon, Strange is a nobody.
>>79136611
Strange had China.
Man of Steel wasn't very good and was pretty bad and people did not like it and hated it.

You suckcocks

kill yourself
It's a mediocre film, ruined by Mann trying to stuff a miniseries into 2h 50 minutes.
Terrible writing
>All of Pacino's personal shit.
>Waingro's edgelord line+actor
>De Niro's love interest was pure shit
Films with a similar vibe to A Serious Man?
>>79136263
It's not a film, it's barely a movie.

Barton Fink

Sarah Silverman ate a ton of food for her shower scene.
Demi Moore got breast implants.
Do you eat while watching television, /tv/?
If so, what kind of foods do you like to eat? Popcorn? A light snack? Do you eat your full dinner in front of "the boob tube?" Do you enjoy TV dinners?
Asking for a friend.

hungry man, that perfect 1200% DV sodium meal
I smoke meth, keeps me thin and healthy
Now I'm aware that it's a shit movie, but I've just got to the opening credits before the soccer game and it's fucking awesome so far

remember when woodrow was an upcoming star?
what happened?
I thought the whole ambiguity about the aliens and their intentions was a nice touch.
I liked it
It's not great but it's fun
And I like that the aliens aren't portrayed as mindless drones slaughtering indiscriminately, but more like soldiers on an operation making their own calls.
ITT: Movies that could've been good if the acting wasn't godawful.
Preferably with a video example.
I'd go for the movie Elephant. Tackles a taboo subject; school shootings of the Columbine variety. However, the acting is trash.

Non-professional actors is apart of Van Sant's style dude.
this was very good, novice actors and all
I was pretty much the only person in my class that hated Elephant.
you made Betty Cooper cry /tv/
>>79135300
Who?
>>79135300
She was so shitty in Riverdale. This bitch literally plays the same character, gerself in everything. Cannot act. Jlaw 2.0.
Good thing she looks like a freak on screen and is done.
>>79135313
Riverdale's Betty Cooperaka Lili Reinhart
No Jamal, you be trippin.

was it autism?
Literally the worst movie I saw last year. How is this shit considered good
Is Evangelion worth listing alongside greats such as 2001 A Space Odyssey?
Only if you're making a list of overrated media.
Not really since it's primarily a TV series.
I think so yes.
I would also include Gunbuster, which is amazing and a visual masterpiece.
>go to cinema to see toy story 14: andys prostate cancer
>ticket jockey tells me my kino license has expired
>need to pay them $56 and write a ten page essay about why Alvin and the Chipmunks 2: Road Chip was the best film of the trilogy
>turn in the essay and barely pass, now I have to take my film watching test
>have to watch the entire star wars prequel trilogy and then reenact it in front of a panel of judges
>just barely survive the reenactment, almost beef the amadala parts
>get my kino license and take it to the ticket booth triumphantly
>"one ticket for toy story 14 please!"
>"you have to go through the penis inspection first, sir"
>i have been jelqing my penis so i pass this inspection easily
>"may I see your kino license?"
>I hand him my license
>"sir, this isn't a kino license, this is a flick license, I'm afraid all you're permitted to see is Bye Bye Man. We're going to have to detain you for attempting to see kino with insufficient clearance"
>cinema security sneaks up and tazes me in the neck
>get dragged off to the holding cell for three years
>forgetting about the no singles policy
>>79135082
of course some faggot would make a realistic drawing of frog punching you pepe
This is why the British system is better.
You only need to go to a couple of classes and then take a test. Very simply really.
Can anyone recommend me more like this god-tier anime?
>>79135064
if you liked the surreal shit than watch Paprika
also watch Jin-Roh, it's good if you like general violent/dark anime
>>79135064
you'll probably like Neo-Tokyo and Memories.
agreed with Paprika, Jin-Roh isn't as good though.
Watching some Studio Ghibli is always recommended.
Ghost in the shell, Perfect Blue, Royal Space Force, Jin Roh, Princess Mononoke, Only Yesterday, End of Eva
