worth seeing or bad?
Good film. Worth seeing and paying for.

It's solid drama.

You may or may not like it, but it certainly isn't bad, well executed all around.
Casey Affleck did a performance of the year no doubt.
Zero "I'M ACTING!" scenes.
Congratulations, he's your new partner.
I work alone chief.
Not any more you dont, now get outta here

Is Stephen Merchant destined never to break out of this kind of role?

Well he's playing a tortured mutant tracker in Logan so, yeah?

Dude, look at his fucking face. He should be glad that "this kind of role" even exists.

he threw in a pretty dress as well
I guarantee you that corn tastes better with butter than a side of souls
Depends, anon.

Why do you think Candace Swanepoel never had a real movie career, /tv/? Wouldn't she be a good leading lady?
The quality of posts is extremely important to this community.

>Why do you think Candace Swanepoel never had a real movie career, /tv/?
She is too pretty. Jewlywood is pushing the ugly, fat, no-tits agenda.

Have you given up on Babs already, bro?
Don't mind me just being the worst Walking Dead Villain.
Ey Rick, mask you sumnm mane.

I have watched Aguirre: The Wrath of God, and liked it. I want to watch another Herzog's movie. I want to try just one movie, because I have a big list anyway, and can't afford watching several, unless I like the second one too. I'm personally thinking between Fitzcarraldo and The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser. I've read the short descriptions of them, and Fitzcarraldo looked like something very similar to Aguirre, and I'd probably like to see something more different. Kaspar Hauser on the other hand looked somewhat intriguing. What would you suggest me?
Let me add something. What I liked about Aguirre is a dreamy style, and the music. I'd like to see something similar, but not necessarily the similar story.
Haven't seen Kaspar Hauser yet but I can gladly recommend the other Kinski/Herzog movies.
>Fitzcarraldo
>Cobra Verde
>Nosferatu
>My Best Fiend
>Woyzeck
I'd say watch Fitzcarraldo or Cobra Verde next.
Bad Lieutenant

How would she have responded.

She would've executed him on the spot for degenerate behaviour.

That was the best part of a decade ago
I don't even know if I like or dislike Nazism anymore
If were talking about movies that had a worldwide theatrical release, the handmaiden was probably my favorite of the year
>>79193189
Elle or Paterson were my top 2. Neon Demon and Wiener-Dog are also great but an acquired taste. Everybody Wants Some!! is fun as well. Still need to see Handmaiden, Silence, Louder Than Bombs, La La Land, and a few others.
>>79193222
Forgot about everybody wants some, was a really fun movie i enjoyed it a lot
The Handmaiden was easily the most kino. And much more importantly, finally Park returning to form after the abortion that was Stoker.
>it's another 101 film student criticizes shaky cam thread
Shaky cams are used way to often to bail out either bad CGI, or a poorly constructed scene, and in those instances I don't like it.

who is the manliest filmmaker working today?
my vote goes for this guy
every single frame of his movies just oozes testosterone.
I was a boy before I watched BvS, afterwards I was a man.
He had a hard life.
>>79192983
snyder is a comic nerd, nothing alpha about him
the manliest director currently working is Chad Stahelski
>stars out as a stuntman, blue collar worker who works his way up from the bottom
>knows martial arts (he was a kickboxer before getting into the stunt business)
>can handle weapons (firearms and swords)
>literally more badass than most actors considered action stars

The Americans is one of those shows I enjoy a lot but dread watching. I feel like everything is going to go belly up for them every episode.

This, and sometimes it's not even about them getting caught.
