Holy shit, read my mind
Seriously still an awesome movie
Should I watch it?
RIDING THROUGH THIS WORLD
If you really like watching men hug and the sound of hands slapping leather vests, then it's the perfect show for you
No, just watch The Shield
What is his problem?

You'd be pretty pissed off too if a bunch of Swedes woke you up from your multiple millenia slumber and tried to kill you too.

He was cornered by an extremely hostile alien organism which had assumed the appearance of a dog. This dog-form then attacked and killed him,and biologically replaced him with a further imitation. Everything else after this point therefore does not refer to "his" problems, but "its" problems, that is, the problems of the false alien replacement organism which had assumed its shape.
Its problems were manifold. It had a biological impertive/instinct to spread and reproduce itself, according to its alien logic. And it came incredibly close to doing so, in that it stood painfully at the foot of its own saucer, and right next to two trained helicopter pilots, who were both still human. It seriously entertained trying for both of them, but for whatever reason, decided against it - perhaps an assimilation might not have worked? These ones are fairly smart, it's more of a chess match. Also there's not necessarily enough fuel on board to make it to populated territory.
Later, its problem was that it was /too/ trusted by the group, which meant that if in a leadership position, it would be charged with seeking itself out and destroying itself, which won't do. Better to stay on the margins. Refuse "human" leadership and keep playing the game.
It had a further problem: its target proved to have a failing heart, failing under extreme stress. Whoops.
Still further: 20 years ago this year, Charles Hallahann died himself of a heart attack. I plan to mark the occasion in some way. Imagine a doctor defibbing him, being aware of his greatest role.
why did they cgi it?

>DULLEST
>'no'
I don't think an unsimulated lewd scene could've helped improve one of the dullest franchise in the history of movie franchises. Seriously each episode following the girl Jedi and her pals from Hogwarts Academy as they fight assorted villains has been indistinguishable from the others. Aside from the gloomy imagery, the series’ only consistency has been its lack of excitement and ineffective use of special effects, all to make magic unmagical, to make action seem inert.
Perhaps the die was cast when Disney vetoed the idea of Spielberg directing the series; she made sure the series would never be mistaken for a work of art that meant anything to anybody?just ridiculously profitable cross-promotion for her books. The Star Wars series might be anti-Christian (or not), but it’s certainly the anti-James Bond series in its refusal of wonder, beauty and excitement. No one wants to face that fact. Now, thankfully, they no longer have to.
>a-at least the books were good though
"No!"
The writing is dreadful; the book was terrible. As I read, I noticed that every time a character went for a walk, the author wrote instead that the character "stretched his legs."
I began marking on the back of an envelope every time that phrase was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope several dozen times. I was incredulous. Lucas's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that she has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of The Force Awakens by the same Stephen King. He wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are reading Star Wars: Extended Universe at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to read Stephen King." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you read "Star Wars: Extended Universe" you are, in fact, trained to read Stephen King.
Really makes you think.
Is /tv/ btfo once and for all?
>make blatantly anti-white film about how "sometimes the most dangerous place for a black man to be is in the white suburbs"
>Best score possible from (((white))) critics
How much longer can this go on?
>>79703158
Hopefully the income inequality in the US will grow so much that all these educated middle class whites will have to rub shoulders with the truly poor black junkies.
>>79703158
Gee, it's like you know almost nothing about this movie and just assumed it had an anti-white agenda.
Honest thoughts on this movie?
Album is god tier
Movie is pretty shit desu.
Some good visual imagery, music is good (The Wall is overrated though), Bob Geldof is pretty good as Pink but has some absurdly silly moments which is pretty much all the fascist stuff (Run Like Hell makes me laugh every time).
It's not too bad. I saw it at a 70mm screening where all the colour was fucked up so that may be an issue.
We already got a Pink Floyd thread
So why was he Scottish?
Because they're disgusting subhuman trash that's why.

Cultural appropriation.
>>79702569
Because he's a big, ugly oaf who lives in a remote area eating garbage. It seems obvious.

Weird request, but are there any movies with a similar atmosphere to Life is Strange? High school, life drama, dorky protagonist, humor isn't too slapstick.
I looked for similar movies but they all recommend time travel movies.
Ghost World
Life is Strange is just Tumblr Donnie Darko.

What is the most mediocre movie of 2016?

La La Land

Pretty good business movie famalam. When people ask for business/corporate/money related movies, The Founder will be a good recommendation.
What do think the remake will be like?
It's not like the original has some kinda brilliant script or anything. One of my fav flicks, don't get me wrong, but it's all about the soundtrack, imagery and weird scenes.
You could just make a witch school movie and call it Suspiria and it could be good. Definitely possible.
It's not like remaking Rosemary's Baby or The Exorcist.
I thought you guys would post more in this thread since Chloe Moretz is in it. I was going to call her a "brutal hog"
