A friend said I reminded her of this guy in an attempt to get me to watch The IT Club
I'm liking it so far but I can't help but think she's calling me autistic
She pretty much is. Moss is more legitimately autistic, rather than Sheldon's lolsokooky autism.
No, she probably mean you're "le wacky goofy nerd man XD" which may or may not mean she likes you desu. She probably doesn't mean it offensively either way though.
I get that too. I'm pretty sure it's just something they say to anyone who does STEM
What are some movies where the bad guy wins and destroys the entire world and/or universe?
>>80313050
Escape from L.A.
>>80313050
>bad
you're wrong
>>80313476
this, poochy was the good guy all along
Is it actually bad, or is it just getting fisted by critics who are trying to appeal to PC culture?
I'm seeing a lot of people spewing this "white male savior" rhetoric and while I do understand this when it comes to certain films or shows, it's just in this case...Iron Fist has always been a white guy doing martial arts and shit since the 70s...why is this a big issue now?
>>80313036
>Is it actually bad
>Marvel logo on the poster
gee I dunno
>>80313036
>is it just getting fisted by critics who are trying to appeal to PC culture?
This. It's yet another Marvel/Netflix show, so it is no more good or bad than the others. It's only "FUCKING WHITE MALE" critics that are hating on it.
>>80313036
Both its shit but most of the really stinky reviews are coming from people who's only argument against the show is that a white guy does kung foo.
Other than that though it suffers from all the same stuff that the other marvel/netflix show do. its too long and shits itself in the second half.
Also the main actor did about as much work as Gal Gadot did to get ready for wonderwoman i.e. fucking nothing. So the action is sub par and shittier than daredevil.

Why didn't DOAOAFP rip this theme off? I thought everyone loved meta jokes and nostalgia
Oh man the soundtrack, pure nostalgia.
First movie was probably just to establish the Xmen brand to non cartoon people and test if a live action movie is viable. Were there any good comic movies in 2000 around?
>>80313038
2004 had The Punisher which I always liked.
Do you think Karl went to watch Steve's performance in Logan? I'd love to hear what he makes of Steve's appearance in it
>>80312795
karl would not lower himself to cape shit
>>80312795
It'll probably be like his first time seeing him again so he'll be weirded out.
>>80312795
He's already reviewed Steve's head in the movie
What's the easiest way to see obscure films?
I cannot find many art and foreign films on torrent sites (Bela Tarr for example). I have heard of private trackers, but I have no idea where to start.
>>>/g/59344784
You don't have to be autistic to succeed at private trackers, but it helps.
Pay $11/mo for Filmstruck w/ the Criterion Channel, more than worth it. Many films have supplemental material, commentary, etc. It's figuratively like film school.
Hey OP, why not go to local art house and second-run theatres? You'll meet others who LOVE film, it doesn't cost too much, and you're guaranteed to have a GREAT time.
*RUBS HEAD*
Lemme axe u sumfing brother
He never referred to anyone as brother you mong
>>80312788

>>80312788
>being this AUTISTIC
Wow, you freak
Are most modern movies more forgettable in part because they rely too much on cgi?
What are some movies that do cgi right? Real life effects always look so much better, is the whole cgi heavy trend just because it's easier?
Digital film has literally next to no grit. People don't recognize this for some reason but shooting a film digitally is having to work against the deathness of the material.
CGI is ruining movies. Real scenes are important for the feel of a movie. CGI used to be used for simple but far too hard things to accomplish without it. Now it's used Simply because it's cheaper. Movie industry is starting to die.

That guy's the super hard with a capital H, hard sci-fi guy, right? Or am I thinking of someone else?
>>80312292
Considering this is the series where the power of love lets you teleport around the universe, you're thinking of someone else.
>>80312292
No, I'm thinking of Alastair Reynolds, never mind.
You may not have even seen any of their works, but when you see their face on anything you know you're not going to watch it
ITT: OPs you can't help but dislike.
