>Ghost in the Shell's review embargo lifts one day before the movie comes out
That's it
It's gonna tank.

How does a review embargo work anyway and why doesn't every movie production does it, mr. OP?
>>80927544
no one here will be surprised
>>80927771
>How does a review embargo work anyway
Movie company lets critics see the movie early, under the condition that they're only allowed to release the reviews on X day.
> and why doesn't every movie production does it,
Because if a company is confident the reviews are positive, they want people to read the reviews and generate positive buzz. If the company thinks the reviews will be bad, they don't want people reading them and so set the embargo date right before the movie releases.
George Lucas destroyed this kids life, I fucking hate that fat fuck. I hope Lucas gets shanked irl.

So I was watching Batman V Superman and suddenly Batman is in the middle east with a gun in the middle of it
Can somebody explain this?
It's a bit for people who read the comics. Otherwise you're supposed to be as equally confused as Batman, particularly when the flash shows up after running through time (but they don't tell you that, also it's not the Barry flash), lending weight to the TIME RUN DIMENSION from the Darkseid comic where Batman gets shot and dies (but then doesn't, because time).
It's kinda weird and confusing if you haven't read the comics, which is why they play it the way they do in the movie (primarily as foreshadowing for Justice League). Same as how they hint at the 'canon' timeline with dead Robin's suit, which means the Red Hood exists, and also Nightwing hints.
tl;dr Batman sees forward in time, then sees the Flash screaming at him but doesn't know why or who he is or what's happening. Seeing superman in this fashion, though, influences his decisions later in the film.
>>80927418
You didn't explain anything dumbass
>>80927686
>tl;dr Batman sees forward in time because of the Flash
It wasn't even hard to understand watching the movie what was happening, I feel bad for you if you didn't get this far with your own mental capacity.
Otherwise go read the fucking comics numbnuts.

Why is it always the jocks who are stereotyped as beating people up? This cliche never made sense to me, jocks usually have too much to lose by getting in fights because it could mean they get suspended or kicked off the team and jeopardize any scholarships. Plus, jocks usually are dedicated/distracted enough by their sports to not get into petty bullshit that results in fights.
Back when I was in high school, it was always the druggies and ghetto/white trash who got into fights because they had nothing to lose, nothing better to do, and were always pissed off about something in their lives.
It seems to me that the Breakfast Club probably had one of the most accurate representations of what jocks are actually like in movies and tv: dedicated and/or pressured to do well at their sports, resort to macho posturing when pushed but never actually want to instigate a fight, and generally average in all other aspects besides sports.
every person who replies after this post will be cursed with a shitty miserable life, no immunity
Because jocks are frequently unintelligent bullies who think they're better than other people, but they usually bully in more passive aggressive ways for the reasons you mentioned, i.e. so they don't experience consequences. Passive aggressive cowardly bullying isn't as "cinematic," so in movies they just use cliches like pushing people into lockers instead.
>>80927037
Because jocks dont write movies. Nerds do. The nerds jealous that the jock has a better setup so they make them the bad guy.

What is this about?
I have to say, I haven't played a Warcraft game in more than 15 years and I have never even bothered to ever care the slightest about WoW,
but this movie was pretty cool.
Good pacing, great visuals, pretty straight-forward story that doesn't devolve into pointless lore or backstory that someone like me wouldn't give a shit about... Just overall a no non-sense fantasy movie with an interesting premise and good execution.
Of course it's not perfect though. The cast is pretty mediocre I have to say, specially the mage kid who is awful. Although the orcs were amazing, easily the best thing about it. And the second half of the movie loses quite a bit of steam yet it still holds up to the end IMO.
All in all, I can sort of understand why it flopped with current audiences but I think it was for all the wrong reasons since this is a genuinely fun blockbuster.
no opinions?
>>80926556
Sure, it's really underrated.
I'm sure it will get the status of hidden gem in a few years.
