None of the films are "good", all are trash but vary in degrees of entertainment. 4 and 6 are the closest you get to genuinely good movies. 6 is a full on comedy, 4 is a serious horror but it's strength lies in it's realistic characters and great kills. The rest are schlock and you can be entertained as long as you're satisfied with seeing Jason hack a bunch of over-the-top characters to death.

The only ones I think are boring are 5 and 7. People cite 7 as the best cause "muh sleeping bag kill", "muh Kane Hodder stunts" and "muh Carrie fight". But aside from the crazy psychiatrist, it has a boring cast of characters and the worst kills in the series. It's boring as fuck. Ironically it DID have some of the greatest kills in horror but the MPAA shredded the film. You can still see the kills separately through B-roll footage but they've never been integrated into the film. Watch the uncut kills on Youtube and call it a day. A lot of people admire 5's sleaziness but much like 7 the kills are bloodless.
