The thing with females is that they already emotionally check out way before the relationship is over. It happens much earlier than the actual end of the relationship. From your perspective she moved on really fast because you see the end as when you two split but it happened way before. It's probably not a good thing to hear but it's the truth. It's better to be single right now than to carry on with a girl who is already emotionally unavailable to you.

As I understand it there is no "best" version of this story, not the manga, anime series or movies so I dont see why everyone is freaking out.

If you want to see a franchise be shat all over go watch Assassin's Creed.

I grew up with the anime movie and honestly is not that great of a masterpiece, just like Akira is not the masterpiece most normies think it is, what im saying is dont get meme'd /tv/ into thinking the anime is the absolute truth.

I will give it a chance, not hype but a bit curious.

The movie was good, don't let anyone else lead you to believe otherwise. You don't have to go see it if you don't want to but it was good.
