Your daddy ever tell you how Uncle Mac come to his reward?
Here's the moral of No Country For Old Men.
Seemingly decent people can let greed overcome them, intelligent people can make mistakes, others can pay for those mistakes with their lives and the nature of fate can (and will) affect everyone.
However if, as a lawman dedicated to upholding justice, you feel that your adversary is just a little too cunning for you to apprehend? Don't worry. Complain to your friend, go home to your wife and tell her about a dream you had about your father.
You'll feel better in the morning.
Ever google old actors/tress and just get real sad?
So it's a JUST thread then?
nah I let them fade alongside the memories of their films
none of us are exempt from it, I dont let it bother me
we'll all get there if we're lucky enough to live that long

What does /tv/ think of The Babadook?
>>81293638
my wife and i enjoyed it, confirmed for us to never have kids
we watched it because we love Miss Fisher
Scary the first time you see it, the child's acting is what I'd call perfectly fit for the part and the cinematography has some points of brilliance - obviously, as a commercial film. The symbolism is a bit on the nose, though the ending salvages it by not trying to be explicitly moralizing.
All in all, a better horror movie than most coming out but definitely not a masterpiece.
>>81293638
it was a decent movie but it failed as horror. the effects were also horrible.
>>81293699
you are everything i could hate in a person. fuck you.
Are you ready, /tv/, for braindead kino?
>>81293602

Why did the 90s look so yellow?
Is making feature films just not for self-funded amateurs?
Taking a look at what most small-budget films cost, they are still in the millions. That includes those with no special effects/cgi.
>>81293400
Rom-coms/romances/dramas don't use cgi or need big budgets. Most filmmakers make shorts first. How much do you think this cost to make?...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_u6Tt3PqIfQ
If you're so incompetent in life that you can't even finance that, then how are you going to make a good movie?
>>81293495
Nobody watches short films, though.
>>81293495
I don't see how competence in one area would translate to the other. Or are you implying conmen would make great film writers/directors?
>only just got round to watching seaeson 2
>mfw i think bout just how many Milligan threads I must have missed out on
Fucking hell man

Patrick Wilson's character was pretty badass.
Thought he was a bit too much of a tryhard for my taste, thought his ending was very fitting though
>>81293361
Yeah, I can understand that. He's definitely the type of character that skirts the line between enigmatic and tryhard. Very much the former for me though
I felt so much worse with that ending than I would have done had hejust been killed
