>"Breakfast Can Wait" is a 2013 song by American recording artist Prince. The accompanying artwork for the single features comedian Dave Chappelle dressed as Prince and serving pancakes from a 2004 sketch from an episode of Chappelle's Show. In June 2014, Chappelle appeared on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show and discussed the use of his image on Prince's single. The comic admitted, "That's a Prince judo move right there. … You make fun of Prince in a sketch and he'll just use you in his album cover. What am I going to do — sue him for using a picture of me dressed up like him? … That's checkmate right there."

Just watched it. It was legit. New music, new style, darker, no jokes and no useless talks about how many seconds the ship did at a stupid race or compressors. But yes, the characters were a bit dry.
I know I'm late but I haven't seen any threads on
La La Land on here, even after the Blu-ray dropped last week.
What was the general reaction of people on /tv/ to it? I liked it a lot desu, easily one of the best movies of 2016.

I feel like a piece of shit for watching it alone on my laptop. I should've seen it in a movie theater.
dishonest film

etc
>>81713815
I wanted to watch it in theaters, but none of my friends wanted to watch a musical and going to see a movie like la la land alone would be awkward as fuck.

George Lucas reiterates Star Wars is for ‘12-year-olds,’ calls out ‘mean’ critics

Remember when Lucas told Hayden Christensen "you're going to be playing Darth Vader", then after he signed the contract said "lol just kidding, you're going to be playing an awkward whiny teenager"? That was great.
Based Lucas, amirite?

Shows the man's got taste. White and gook bitches will just divorce him and take all his money
So I've seen it twice now (long time fan) and I'm ready to solidify my opinion.
1 = 5 > 6 = 7 > 3 > 2 > 8 > 4
Most entertaining drag race in the franchise as well as the best non-car oriented action sequences. The car action is still alright, but it's overshadowed by the other stuff (there's an entire jailbreak fight park our scene set to speakerbox and an entire airplane shootemup up scene set to Alvin and the Chipmunks). The film would rank higher if it wasn't for, well, the main plot. It's way too fucking dark for a F&F movie. And even if we manage to overlook the unfitting tone, there's still the problem of Theron's character. Every time this bitch is on screen, she sucks all the fun out of the film. Literally acts like a sonic adventure 2 deviantart fan character. Oh, and Scott Eastwood is in this and also brings nothing to the table, which wouldn't be a problem if he wasn't apparently just part of the club now.
It's definitely the most inconsistant of the films. It has much higher highs than 2Fast, Tokyo Drift, or F&F (4) but also some really low lows that keep it from being able to be enjoyed to its fullest.
I didn't dislike the movie, but let's put it this way: coming out of the theater for the last three, I was instantly excited for the next one. Coming out of the theater for this one, I can't help but feel like they really should of ended it with 7.
>>81713272
They will never get another chance to end it as well as they did with 7. That was literally a perfect send off.
>>81713272
This series is like the Call of Duty of cinema.
Its the same shit rehashed every time, which could be ok if it didn't take itself so seriously.
>when he wins the race in reverse
Worth the price of admission alone
>Kylo Ren is reason Luke is so cynical and worried about traing Jedi
>Kylo Ren proves to Luke he fucked up, and Luke only blames himself, not Kylo or Snoke.
>Can't bring himself to hunt or kill him.
> Rey shows up
> Luke doesnt wanna train her
> "Twist" moment is Kylo learning about the true events of Vaders life, his redemption, and his undoing. Kylo will be Snoke's enemy by the end of it.
>He will begin his turn to the light.
>Rey is a nobody because she is meant to bring him back through love. They will continue the Skywalker and Solo lines into the future
>>81713044
>> Rey shows up
>> Luke doesnt wanna train her
Pic related.
Also the writers said Kylo Ren already knows Vader turned to the light.
>>81713160
OP here. Yeah Luke changes his mind for sure. That's his arc and part of Rey, Leia, and even Han as well.
Kylo has been told by Snoke that Vader failed in his weakest moment (assuming not killing Luke and maybe not killing the Emperor).
Kylo still needs to find out that Snoke is using him and that the dark side is not truly stronger. He will learn before it's too late unlike Vader.
The whole pull to the light shit is genuine and he will be a somewhat reverse vader (as far as onscreen storytelling is concerned). In reality their parts are similar, but Luke and Rey are able to bring him back before its too late. He will still make sacrifices though
