What the fuck is going on at Disney? Are they purposely trying to be as shit as possible?
>>81723796
>saved Star Wars from George Lucas
>took Marvel characters nobody gave a shit about and made people give a shit about them
>is making 90s Renaissance style musicals again
I don't see the problem.
In 10 years Disney will be the only studio left
Watch how shit things become then

Ten years from now. Only thing /tv/ remembers about this great movie is this god tier reaction image.
>mfw im perfectly fine with this
Captain Picard face palm ain't got nothin on this townie nigga
I don't see why people call this film white people drama, nor why does it get praised quite often as some kind of deconstruction of the genre when it's not, but all in all it's a good character driven drama that does a good job at portraying how suffering actually works in cases such as this one. Directing was solid, though one of my minor annoyances with the film was that it sometimes tried to sell you the emotional part of the scene by cramming run of the mill OST that's supposed to make the scene more dramatic, but those scenes were quite rare and it didn't ruin the film at all. Casey did a great job, Michelle was good and most of the cast did a solid job. It also had nice teen titties as a nice bonus.

tried too hard to sell you*

one of the most powerful films scenes of the decade.
The scene building up to it in police station. Cassey Affleck has the look of a men that is already dead inside.
>so I was hanging out with a black guy breaking the law
>and then the police stopped us!
>not sure if you white folks are aware hehe, but that happens a lot with us
wow, this truly is the magnum opus of standup comedy.

>t. reductivism
There are moments in that special where he clearly still has some comedy in him, but most of it was just awful.
Zack Snyders only good movie is 300. His visual style is overreliant on CGI, a technology that only looks good in motion with a lot of blur.
Good action scenes need both fast action and slower moments to build tension, which Snyder achieves by the use of slow motion. In 300 this works because there aren't very many moving parts, it looks artful with the silhouettes and the shining red capes. Compare this to the slow motion in sucker punch, while it does slow down the action it turns it into a nauseating experience with clutter abound and seemingly nonsensical slow motion sequences.
I believe he should move away from superhero movies and more into action scenes where the terrain is more monotone, like in medieval movies or historic epics.
This pasta again. Kill yourself.

I do love pinball though
>>81723053
No.
Patrick Stewart is a liberal faggot.
What went so wrong with this movie?
>>81722532
Land of the Lost was an exceptionally creative show, full of interesting ideas (dimensional portals, time travel, dinosaurs) and the truly scary Sleestak.
The show was basically created by David Gerrold (who wasn't credited) who would later have a profound effect on creating Star Trek: TNG.
It was such a fucking shame they threw away all that creativity on doing a sub-par will ferrel "comedy"

My dad went to highschool and is pretty good friends with Chris Henchy who wrote this one. Never met the guy though

>they removed Kenji Kawai's theme from the opening scene
I'm so mad, I almost walked out of the theatre.
To top it off they replaced it with some bland soulless temp music shit that removed all sense of emotion from the most iconic scene in the movie.
Ignore the /tv/ contrarian meme, this movie is shit.

It wasn't a good movie but it could have been a hell of a lot worse. I'm glad that rather than just giving us ersatz Oshii they tried to make it their own. Key word being 'tried' though. This movie was clearly hamstrung from the start by cowardly impositions from above.
>>81723323
I liked that they didnt just copy the 1995 movie and we got the theme at the end credits

yeah. that's about right
i like seeing where the series is going. it gives them an outlet which really isn't available via HitB.
I also think it's a product of Mike's ambivalence in becoming a 'Youtube Celebrity"

How the fuck did this turn into an action franchise
Season premier had the worst ratings of any episode yet. I'm scared for the only currently running show I still enjoy.
Anybody have a DL link for S03E02?
every time someone brings up the mediocre ratings someone else should remind them that Breaking Bad had ever WORSE ratings for the first 4 seasons and the 1st half of season 5. Ratings only exploded in the 2nd half of Season 5 and even then, the most watched episode (the finale) had half the ratings of a run of the mill Walking dead episode.
AMC is a prestige network now. BCS performs perfectly fine and should run as long as Vince & Co. want it to.
after this is over someone could probably condense all the episodes in half and have a much stronger show
>>81722316
I agree desu. breaking bad was about the build. I'm glad amc allowed them to take their time developing the characters, upping the stakes incrementally. Saul seems to definitely be following that mold.
If AMC is smart I think you're right.
> It's time for the Jedi to end.
What did he mean by this?
>>81722135
It's an Empire Strikes Backā¢ rip-off
>>81722168
But it's not, they said this one wasn't following the trend of being dark. It was more of a fun going movie much like The Force Awakens.
