Gather round /tv/ it is time to put down the nostalgia Kool Aid from your childhood and finally admit what has been obvious for years.
South Park has eclipsed the Simpsons. It is a superior show up, down and all around.
It is better as a total sample vs total sample. It is better as a best episodes vs best episodes. It has better music. It has a better movie. It is funnier. It has better social commentary.
The only thing it loses at is feels but it never went for those anyway but has won on everything it has gone for. The only reason the Simpsons gets more talk is cause it has been on longer (but been mostly shit the past 15 years) and can appeal to a wider audience.
CSI appears to a wider audience than the Wire so who gives a shit.
South Park is the king of American animated comedy and has made total cucks of the Simpsons. I say this as a guy who grow up on the Simpsons and worshiped the early seasons and consider it the staple show of my childhood.
No1 is arguing with u dude

People will cause a large group of people will always be
>but Muh Simpsons!
>Muh early season Simpsons!
It's not as cozy
What is it with senpais saying seasons 7-8 are better than seasons 1-2? 1-2 had timeless classics, while 7-8 were quite forgettable. If you really think season 7-8 are better than 1-2, then rewatch the enture series, because you have been memed
Season 1:
>simpsons roasting on an open fire
The first simpsons christmas
>Homer's Odyssey
Homer tries to kill himself. Gets to be a safety inspector after trying to take down the power plan.
>Call of the simpsons
The simpsons get lost in the forest. Homer gets mistaken for bigfoot
>the crepes of wrath
Bart goes to France.
Season 2:
>bart gets an F
>bart vs thanksgiving
>bart the darevil
a lot of good bart episodes here. (Tbh)
>Lisa's substitute
>blood feud
Meanwhile, in season 7-8, you have forgettables like lisa the vegetarian, the moher simpson episode, hank scorpio, burns' son, etc.

No, seasons 1-2 were really unfunny and mawkish.
I forgot about The Crepes of Wrath. No matter how bad they get, they'll never again do an episode which is just pure lazy xenophobia.
You think the Scorpio episode was forgettable? That episode in easily in the top 20 Simpsons episodes of all time. Albert Brooks is on fire as Hank Scorpio, the greatest boss of all time, and you know it.
Seasons 1-2 are gross. The tone of all their voices, especially Homer, is grating, the whole production is very crude, slow-paced and plays it very safe. There's something sort of eerie about very early era Simpsons.
Dat early 2000's school shooter aesthetic

Funny how this movie got far less heat for influencing Klebold and Harris than Marilyn Manson did, probably because the alternative rock/metal audience was smaller and thus its products easier to sacrifice to the media conglomerates' narrative.
The early 2000s were a dark time for cosplay
*pumped up kicks starts playing*
I just watched this movie for the first time and I can't thank you guys enough for recommending it. It really opened my eyes to God and makes all the years spent on /tv/ really worth it. I feel like I just got a new lease on life.
Anyway, what are your thoughts on this kino?

>Terry Gilliam is making Don Quixote
>Again.
>FOR REAL THIS TIME
>The Man Who Killed Don Quixote is an upcoming fantasy-adventure-comedy film directed by Terry Gilliam and written by Gilliam and Tony Grisoni, loosely based on the novel Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes. It is widely recognized as one of the most infamous examples of development hell in film history, with Gilliam unsuccessfully attempting to make the film a total of eight times over the span of nineteen years.
>... in March 2017, it was reported that the film had finally started filming for the first time in 17 years, with Jonathan Pryce as Quixote, and Driver still attached as Grisoni.
Half-Life 3 confirmed
is he greatest auteur of our time?
Meanwhile, Terry Jones is suffering dementia. But no thread for that. Gotta have dat Gilliam.

Trial & Error
>Wall Street Journal showed that some "controversial" videos had ads running on them from major companies like Coke and Starbucks, so major ad buyers started pulling out to avoid a PR nightmare
>There are now not enough ads to go around so YouTube and advertisers are being very selective about what videos are monetized
>Anything that would be considered PG13 or above, includes religious references of any kind, talks about right-wing politics, etc, etc. is demonetized automatically or by YouTube's newly hired army of Indian video watchers all in an effort to make the site more attractive to advertisers again (but it's not working)
>People are starting to complain and are emptily threatening to leave the site since they're not making $30,000-50,000 per month posting YouTube videos anymore
Looks the gravy train has left the station, might be time for these people to get real jobs. Or is it?

Is it just a coincidence that a lot of child actors become manlets or do they turn out manlets because they were child actors?
>>81903550
They're often given drugs to prevent hormonal changes in puberty so they maintain their 'cuteness'. Leads to stunted development.
