BARRY YOU GOTTA COME BACK WITH ME
BACK!? BACK WHERE?!
BACK...TO THE SPEEDFORCE!
My friend never saw Star Wars. Should I show her OT or prequels first?
http://www.strawpoll.me/12838169
PS. she's as vanilla as one can get in terms of cinema
Production order, like anything.
>>82116092
That's what I thought at first, but taking into account she dislikes "boring movies" maybe the flashy clusterfuck should come first?
None because they all suck and the new ones are turning the star wars universe into a Disney princess series.
I couldn't wipe off the smile from my face during that entire scene in the office.
Seriously, the whole storyline with Emmit, Sy and VM Vargas is elder god tier good.

David Thewlis is great. This show consistently has 10/10 casting
>The new episode promo has the numbers and wrench theme playing
What did they mean by this?

>There! There you go, now you're seeing it! ...the inescapable reality...you're trapped
>In private letters published in 2006, the fantasy legends sling bitchy insults and put-downs like a stuffy, academic Gossip Girl, decrying Disney's creative choices in 1937's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and referring to the man himself as an ill-educated "boob".
>Dwarfs ought to be ugly of course, but not in that way," Lewis wrote in a correspondence to Tolkien shortly after they attended a screening of the film together. "And the dwarfs' jazz party was pretty bad. I suppose it never occurred to the poor boob that you could give them any other kind of music.
>But all the terrifying bits were good, and the animals really most moving: and the use of shadows (of dwarfs and vultures) was real genius. What might not have come of it if this man had been educated–or even brought up in a decent society?
>Lewis also condemned the dwarfs' "bloated, drunken, low comedy faces," and criticised the design of the Evil Queen as being "unoriginal."
>Tolkien, who took a far more mythical approach with his own dwarves in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, was similarly unimpressed by Disney, so much that he pledged to never work with him or his company.
>"I recognise his talent, but it has always seemed to me hopelessly corrupted," he wrote in a letter to a Stanford University student named Miss J.L. Curry several years later. "Though in most of the 'pictures' proceeding from his studios there are admirable or charming passages, the effect of all of them is to me disgusting. Some have given me nausea..."
>So while both authors are renowned for creating elaborately surreal universes of magical wardrobes and Middle-Earth, Tolkien and Lewis also appear to have invented the sort of shady, Twitter-friendly hate-watch we all take for granted today. What pioneers.

What do you think about this Mexican director?
he's a big nerd
>>82115909
should stay on his side of the wall
Pretty much a hack. Definitely severely overrated by the reddit crowd. He's made two good (not great) movies and the rest is mediocre to shit.
As soon as "le consensus movie buff" opinion declared him "their guy" he secured a free pass for the rest of his career.
DANCE OFF BRO, ME AND YOU
this was epic!!! if you thought this was dumb you hate fun XDD
>>82115877
this is reddit, this is memes
>>82116011
i don't usually agree with calling stuff reddit but this scene can be pointed to as the definition
holy shit, this is one of the worst comedy specials I've ever seen.
>Hey bill I rescued a dog, here.
>Nia why would you do that I specifically told y-
>Shut the fuck up. Love it.
>Ok I love it now.
>Good. now kill it.
>What?
>Kill the fucking dog bill. Do it right now. Look at it in the eyes while youre taking it's life away..
>O-ok I killed it
>Good. Now get rid of your fucking drum kit.
>B-but I like playi-
>FUCKING GET RID OF IT
>OK OK IM SELLING IT
>AND GET RID OF THAT SHITTY-ASS TRUCK WHILE YOURE AT IT
>I-I sold it honey, its gone
>Good. Btw im pregnant. You better start watering down your comedy to appeal to a bigger audience. I need money bill. I need LOTS of money. Im a fucking QUEEN you pasty ginger motherfucker
>O-ok honey whatever you say I love you so much ;_;
copypasta is shit
but so is the special
like holy shit that gorilla bit was bad
and that cruise ship bit - like why put that in there if you're going to tell it everywhere
>>82115966
>copypasta is shit
that's not the issue here. the pasta is about things that actually happened and how much of a cuck he is.
also yes, the gorilla bit literally made me stop watching. the cruise ship bit was also going on way too long for how mediocre it was.
>>82116015
Except he didn't kill the dog. Just gave it to someone else and he still visits it. Also he did say long ago that the dog has some anger issues like Bill himself, so maybe it's not that good of an idea to keep it around a baby.
/tv/ ruined this scene for me!
His voice doesn't have an upward inflection.
IT IS NOT A QUESTION MARK!!!
IT IS A EXCLAMATION POINT!!!
>Bane!
because CIA is surprised to hear it, not
>Bane?
because he is confused.
Damn...
Did you ever stop to think that maybe he just doesn't fly so good!
>>82115746
Not every question needs an upward inflection.
Is the shrink schtick in Sopranos just a more pretentious way of breaking the 4th wall like in The Office and other shows?
No, I would say its a way for the audience to be given certain answers, even if they are misguided.
We learn more about Tony through the therapy sessions, and its a way for someone like Tony who bottles his emotions to talk about them realistically, as opposed to talking with his dysfunctional family or his co workers.
Chase said it was the foundation of his idea too, he just found it interesting.
The premise of the show was originally a drama version of Analyze This.
They say there's no two people on earth exactly the same. No two faces, no two sets of fingerprints. But do they know that for sure? They would have to get everyone together in one large space, and obviously that's not possible even with computers. But not only that, but they have to get all the people that ever lived not just the ones now. So they got no clue. They got nothing.
Mrs Soprano may have passed but who's to say there isn't another Mrs Soprano just like her, or will be. Maybe not with the same fears and the paranoia, but the same.
What I'm saying is
"The king stay king"
Think about it though. Stringer is dead so he won't be there to argue with Avon,Marlo is out of the game, the two cops responsible for his capture are gone and Slim Charles is in control of the co-op and who is he loyal to? Avon.
Avon also knows Sergei so that means he could get in contact with the Greeks with no problems and fuck over all them eastside bitches. Avon stays king in the end.
literally everybody agrees on this
why are you just now finding this out
>>82115632
Doesn't matter. Always going to be some new crazier dude to take over the drug business. That was the point.
except for the part where he's doing life in prison
What is the best Alien film out of the whole franchise /tv/?
The first, which is also the only good one.
Alien > Prometheus > Aliens > 3 > 4

Alien
Dont ask questions you already know the answer to
Starting it right now, what am I in for?
>>82115549
A sci-fi movie starring Bruce Willis.
Just fun.

It, Op, it is a mentally ill degenerate.

what show is this? I want to avoid it
What would he have done if he conquered Middle Earth? Was he actually evil or is that just Gondorian propaganda?
>>82115450
Cut taxes for corporations and deregulate the banks. He was pure evil!
Reminder that Tolkien is incredibly bad at writing and really good at world building
Literally torture everyone forever, I imagine. Maybe work on some scheme to attack the Undying Lands where the old Elves and Valar are chilling.
