Nice digits
Have you seen Worlds Greatets Dad? It's too much if a coincidence. That is exactly what happened and for many reasons including legal it will never be told to the public.
>only dream I ever have
>is it the surface of the sun?
>every time I shut my eyes
>it's always the same
>>82207722
I still really like this movie despite the end
>>82207722
yeah why did they have to fuck up the final act so bad?
>>82207722
>just remember it takes eight minutes for light to travel from sun to Earth
>which means you'll know we've succeeded about eight minutes after we deliver the payload
>all you have to do is look out for a little extra brightness in the sky
>so if you wake up one morning and it's a particularly beautiful day
>you'll know we made it
>okay, I'm signing out
Now that the dust has finally settled, we can agree that 1 > 2 right?
>>82207682
T1 was a better scifi horror movie. T2 was more of an action spectacle intended to be a blockbuster.
I would hope so.
>>82207682
Yes
anyone want to talk about supernatural?
what do you think of this season? i thought it got off to a good start with mary, then bogged down (boring af bmol shite), but now i'm liking the back to the basics and classic lucifer as the big bad.
>>82207651
>people still watch this
>>82207651
I watched the first 5 eps then dropped it til the end of season. I'll binge watch it in a weekend once it's done.
Bringing mary back was fucking retarded, and having Cas and Crowley as best buds is just more retarded. I hope they sort out the writing for next season because desu I'm getting sick of watching
>>82207651
I could put up with a lot of stupid things they do for fun but I legit felt like they insulted my intelligence with how they handled The Darkness and God situation. Haven't seen the new season yet since I'm probably done with the show but I've heard okay things about it.
I did enjoy Cassifer last season but I heard Lucifer is in a different host now.
A man toils away only to have the bonus he was promised torn away. Is there a more tragic character in film?
>>82207536
Why did the Reagan presidency kill working class heroes in movies?
>>82207536
>bonus he was promised
lolno,
he should get what he was contracted for, as Dallas fucking tells him in the scene you obviously haven't watched

Is paying the extra $2 a month for ultra HD streaming worth it?
I have a 4k monitor and very fast internet, so I shouldn't have a problem using it, but I don't use Netflix all that often, and that 2 bucks really adds up over time.
Does /tv/ have any experience with it? Is ultra HD noticeably better than regular HD?
>watching 1080p on a 4k monitor
>>82207448
Wow it's like you can get a free trial and find out. Thanks Netflix social media team. But I prefer Netkino.
>>82207503
>tfw to poor for a 1080 monitor or a 4K tv
>/tv/ says film is bad
>watch it anyway
>it's actually pretty good
This was not nearly as bad as you led me to believe, /tv/
The only people who don't like it are christfags that can't comprehend the idea that god might want them to shut the fuck up once in awhile
Only plebs said it was bad though
It was probably 30 minutes too long, but everything after he gets caught is great
Is Maddox /ourguy/?
>>82207431
Maybe 15 years ago. He went to shit in early-mid 2000s when he stopped updating his website to work on his garbage Alphabet book. I used to think he was the coolest back then, because he was the most outspoken and cocksure curmudgeon on the internet. He turned to shit and never recovered once he became famous, though.

Why is this never discussed? Its the best napoleonic movie, and just a great movie all around. As well as completely free on youtube.
So many great scenes and lines.
>the scene where Wellington and Napoleon are discussing with their subordinates the night before the battle but its shot to look like they are talking to eachother
>Napoleon walking up to the army sent to capture them and telling them they may shoot him if they wish.
>Next to a battle lost, the saddest thing is a battle won.
>>82207420
Napoleon movies never were ehat Hollywood wanted, that's why. Kubrick cancelled a project for a Napoleon movie and the 6 part story abput Napoleon in 1927 ended up just being the first movie
>>82207420
Sergei Bondarchuk is great, you should check out his seven hour adaptation of War and Peace for more Napoleonic action
>>82207501
If I remember right Kubrick cancelled his movie because Waterloo turned out to be a bust. Fuck me if it isn't one of the best battle scenes ever filmed though.

Is this a joke? No way is Wonder Woman being advertised at all and if it is, I've only seen a few youtube clips for it and some images of Gadot on a bus stop in some random foreign place.
>3+ trailers
>multiple tv spots
>clips
>photos released frequently
>been on cover of multiple magazines
>cast/director interviews
>twitter events
>merchandise in a lot of stores
etc…
I don't see the problem, seem pretty standard
>>82207407
Suicide squad looked fun. Wonder Woman looks like another dreary and colorless dc flick.

I viewed both of these films recently and was shocked to discover the discrepancy in critical reception between the two. Having been shot and released within a few years of each other, I felt that the films were comparable in concept; Despite this, I found Magnolia to be stronger in all respects, but I was shocked to learn that it wasn't received as well.
Memento is in many ways the embodiment of film school pretension, lacking logic, tact, and depth in its philosophical meaning. It masquerades as an art house piece but has nothing of value to say, no engaging elements in its photography, and mixed performances at best.
Magnolia holds brilliant performances across the board, intelligent cinematography, and philosophically nuanced themes.
I just wanted to vent my frustration here, I find it maddening that anyone could find mediocre tripe such as Memento to be superior to a masterpiece like Magnolia.
>>82207313
I'm not seeing how they're comparable.
>>82207358
I watched them both over the course of a few days among many other films and found them to be comparable. I'm also drunk and unemployed until June between the army and other work, so take it all with a grain of salt.
I felt that the intended emotional depth between the two was similar, but Memento fell flat.
>>82207313
These two movies have almost literally nothing in common
Stephen Colbert is a great comedian to be sure, but what are his thoughts on Donald Trump?
SOOO
I hate Colbert so goddamn much.
