Even if they lived closer to me, I would never consider that.
He's hiding something, Captain... But I don't know what.
After watching Death wish 3, I can no longer take Troi seriously if she doesn't show her tits.

>The Book of the New Sun TrilogyBy Peter Jackson
>>82225702
Hey, it's not just a dream. I'm sure some day we'll get a really cool documentary about how some faggot director never got to splurge his Wolfememeing ravings across the screen.

BoTNS wouldn't make a very good film series
There Are Doors, Devil in the Forest, Latro in the Mist and The Wizard Knight however would make great films.
Are there any actually funny Youtube channels left that don't involve movies or pop culture talking head bullshit?
What the hell happened to good sketch comedy on youtube?
College humor is pure garbage now, any recommendations /tv/?

Not sure if this will entertain you or not. I live in Ames, Iowa, where ISU is located, ISU used to have their own local access station students could use to make their own programs, this is probably ten to fifteen years ago.
Anyway, they used to have this pseudo-sketch comedy show called "Oxymorons" my brother and I used to watch all the time at night. For whatever reason I started thinking about that show recently, youtubed it, and found the guy who'd written them all had uploaded them.
Like I said, this was done by students so take it with a grain of salt, but the one guy in the clips that keeps humming 80's songs incorrectly
>"Roxanne, you don't have to drink windex tonight..."
never fails to crack me up.
Only 3 good movies
godard was once a maoist who championed the murderous ideology of mao zedong and the khmer rouge. we condemn griffith and riefenstahl of their political sins, but griffith serioiusly tried to prove he was not a hater after 'birth of a nation'. and riefenstahl insisted she loathed nazism but had simply done as told. maybe they were full of shit but at least they tried to publicly distance themselves from extreme politics.
not godard who espoused the most extreme, murderous, and destructive form of leftism. film scholars, so outraged about long dead griffith and long irrelevant riefenstahl, never demanded of godard to face up to his past sins. unlike kurosawa and bergman who candidly confessed their cowardice in face or approval of, respectively, japanese militarism and nazism, godard has never ever apologized in general, or in specific to the countless victims of the tyrants he supported with all his heart.
godard celebrated and championed mao's total destruction of culture and intellectual life and the khmer rouge that transformed camodia overnight into a genocidal stone age marxist state. fuck that piece of shit.

So now that the dust has settled, what's /tv/'s opinion on The Godfather trilogy?

Holy christ I literally can't figure out whose got it the worst.
Caan and Talia got beat with the time stick until completely unrecognizable

De Niro, no question. I'd take looking like shit over having reproduced with actual shit any day.
>The value of art depends on the values of the art critic.
>Most art is born as imitation, not innovation.
>The critic, not the artist, is the one who defines innovation, and rates it.
>The artist is merely a vehicle for the aesthetic/ideology of the critic.

>A lot of fans are basically fans of fandom itself. It's all about them. They have mastered the "Star Wars" or "Star Trek" universes or whatever, but their objects of veneration are useful mainly as a backdrop to their own devotion. Anyone who would camp out in a tent on the sidewalk for weeks in order to be first in line for a movie is more into camping on the sidewalk than movies.
>Extreme fandom may serve as a security blanket for the socially inept, who use its extreme structure as a substitute for social skills. If you are Luke Skywalker and she is Princess Leia, you already know what to say to each other, which is so much safer than having to ad-lib it. Your fannish obsession is your beard. If you know absolutely all the trivia about your cubbyhole of pop culture, it saves you from having to know anything about anything else. That's why it's excruciatingly boring to talk to such people: They're always asking you questions they know the answer to.
>"Fanboys" is an amiable but disjointed movie that identifies too closely with its heroes. Poking a little more fun at them would have been a great idea. They are tragically hurtling into a cultural dead end, mastering knowledge which has no purpose other than being mastered, and too smart to be wasting their time. When a movie's opening day finally comes, and fanboys leave their sidewalk tents for a mad dash into the theater, I wonder who retrieves their tents, sleeping bags, portable heaters and iPod speakers. Warning: Mom isn't always going to be there to clean up after you.

Season 2 has been pretty shit so far and I'm guessing episode 13 is the last episode.
season 2 is great up until eros crashes into venus. it slows down a lot after that, because eros crashing into venus was the end of the first book.

This movie was originally supposed to take place in the same universe as planet of apes, but when apes and man were living side by side. For budgetary and pacing reasons they had to scrap that footage and plotline but that line stayed in mistakenly.
