Yes. Season 1 is mostly pretty bad, but it gets good by Season 2 and stays fucking amazing until the end of Season 4.

Please ignore the Snapchat text/lines, I couldn't be arsed to go looking for the review again and just screenshoted what I sent to a friend.
So can somebody help me understand where this person sees blatant racism? Like I guess some characters are played by white actors while they were non-whites in the book(s?). And I can sorta see why somebody would be triggered when Clarke suddenly becomes bi and doesn't really give it much thought.
But blatant racism? I can't see even any subtle stereotypes or bigoted portrayals or whatever.

well, I hate to make generalizations like that. I'd rather try and understand Peele's motivations.
what I did find interesting was how all conversations were written to have subtle digs about the guy's race in it. Stuff like remarks about his genes, or using the word 'beast', or even the plushy lion in the bedroom. It's a really insightful look into how some people do see a racial attack in every little thing. I guess that's what the SJWs mean with 'micro aggression'.

Director's Cut is great. Theatrical cut is a mess. Best part is when Orlando Bloom loses his sword and is forced to use a rock to crush a dude's skull.

they think it's kino. Haven't watched the movie personally

the director's cut is quite good. it poses theological and existential questions about understanding the nature of god, sin, and man's place in creation. the theater/tv version is a generic historical action flick.
