"I remember saying to one of the producers, talking about the choice of picking cotton out of the chair, and the thematic relevance of that. He was like, 'That's so cool. No one's ever gonna get that.' And I totally believed that."
Jordon Peele surprised white people aren't as dumb as he thought despite writing a completely retarded movie about them wanting to transplant their brains into black peoples bodies but live the life of house slaves.
Bravo, Progressive/10

>'That's so cool. No one's ever gonna get that.'
Haha, do you think he was being genuine? Or just trying to spare Peele's feelings about how retarded his idea was.
>>82768225
If the producer in question was white, there's a 99% chance he was being sarcastic and Peele was being naive as fuck not realizing that white people think about slavery literally every time they see a black dude near cotton.

How is Peele "black"? He has a white parent
I just finished watching all three seasons of this kino for the first time and now I'm sad. It's rare when a tv show or movie has so many different characters that all feel very distinct and like real people rather than just characters on a screen. The only other example I can think of is Mad Men. Can you guys recommend me another show like this please?
Also post who you consider is the best character in Deadwood.
I just finished rewatching it a few days ago, felt the same way since few shows match up. I'd say Sopranos if you haven't seen it already.
also best character (other than Al) is Doc

Doc was my favorite. I wish I was as good a man as he.
>The direction of my thoughts -- with the sustained fucking stupidity that you're exhibiting, I hesitate to voice them...

Coziest times you've had in /tv/?
The Conan episodes during the writers' strike were some of the comfiest nights I had on /tv/. A lot of Late Night with Conan threads were comfy honestly.

During the writers strike and during the tonight show finality was great. You got to see Conan do whatever he wanted, even though it was obvious he was losing something dear to him.

His "scientific" podcast has more than 70 episodes.
Did you get anything useful from it? I can't think of a single thing.
unless it's a zoolander podcast I don't see why I should give a fuck what Ben stiller thinks about anything
>>82767918
he's an awful interviewer and i dont like him much
>>82767918
His podcast is not for brainlets.
The Charles Murray episode was great. So was Stuart Russell's.
Was it kino?
>>82767890
Anything with Jude Law in it is automatically not kino.

teenage angst over their mothers making them leave the house to go have a nice dinner probably
In the film Kangaroo Jack, did they use a real kangaroo or is it just CGI? I honestly can't tell.
thread approved!
I've never seen this film, but is it as difficult to sit through as that screencap would suggest?
