It was enjoyable. Watched it last night. It could have been shortened a bit but the ride was interesting enough that I didn't mind.

I kept hearing reviewers mention Lovecraftian elements but I'm a big fan and couldn't really see what elements they were talking about. Young guy gets caught up in something over his head maybe? That isn't really Lovecraftian though.

Nah, it wasn't Lovecraftian. People these days see Lovecraft in everywhere, it was more like Polansky with a classic gothic tale underneath, which I think it's an odd mixture but interesting. Also the cinematography in this movie is GOAT.

It's the same fucking movie, except GGOTU actually had pay off, legitimately interesting fights, didn't waste all of its good cast members, and wasn't bogged down by a block of wood.

Gadot cannot change her facial expression leading to Trevor acting leaps and fucking bounds over her. When you watch the movie just concentrate and you can hear the director shouting off stage, "ALRIGHT NOW YOUR CONFIDENT. NO MORE SERIOUS, AH FUCK IT"

The overarching plot is absolutely uninteresting to anyone who has scene a movie. It offers fuck all new or original.

The movie is a solid 6/10 but I dislike Gadots acting far to much and give it a 5.5/10
