Do you ever modify the colors of your films? To see what they look like without dumb filters on them, or perhaps to experience a classic in a new way?

The problem with fans "restoring" color is that there's no data there to restore. You would need to original, non-colorcorrected video (or at least the original chroma keys) in order to do it with any accuracy or aesthetic value. Instead what you get is fucking exposure and adding color filters that make it look weird. Like in your photo it's way too blue. The reds look like maroon or almost magenta. The shot looks over exposed, in an attempt to brighten up Superman's suit, the background looks washed out. It doesn't look any better but looks like some Deviantart photomanipulation.
>>
The fact that you think color grading is a "filter" really tells me that I should not pay any attention to your opinions.

The problem is that he's a one-dimensional gimmicky character who can't carry a film by himself, as seen in the 4th movie.

it was shit. very bland production design, horrible intro, NPH was terrible. I heard they originally wanted Alan Rickman which would probably have been very interesting, but NPH was a charisma vaccum, just recasting Jim Carrey would have been a better move. The movie was better.
>>
>>83507299
It wasn't awful other than the children's acting. It seemed so passionless compared to the movie. I already had low expectations from the beginning so the fact that a lot of the characters were changed for muh diversity didn't even bother me as much as the fact that all the adults in the show were so awfully stupid it was just annoying at that point. For what it's worth, Patrick Warburton is a disease.
>tl;dr the story was portrayed decently but was too underwhelmingly average to be special

someone redpill me why Spacey can get away with this?

Season 1 and 2 had to be good cause this was Netflix's flagship show. I remember when this first came out, everyone was talking about how "netflix is now making HBO tier dramas". By season 3, Netflix had come into it's own, and sure enough, the show's quality has taken a backseat, because now it's just a cog in the wheel of silicon valley's CEO gamesmanship.

Art CEOs are going to spend 2016-2021 (culture operates in 5 year intervals) testing the diversity grounds. How successful will house of cards be in replacing quality with diversity? How impressionable will our culture be when buzzfeed/salon articles say "house of cards is way better now that womyn are in charge and you're an alt-right sexist if you disagree"? Is it in our best interest to push that narrative, or is society not digesting that and should we spend 2022-2027 doing a "return to wholesomeness/new sincerity" cultural tour? CEOs and companies don't give a shit either way, they're here for the money and are all going to die anyway.

Just recognize that chatting about TV shows on the internet is mental slavery for the wealthy class. You think you're off the clock making this thread, you're not, you're putting in overtime. Unpaid.

Keep your autism at a minimum please. Just saw it. It's decent but apparently amazing if you're female judging by the sounds the audience made in my theater.

Good:
>Gal Gadot looks great and is muscular enough, and her acting is not nearly as bad as /tv/ likes to meme
>Lots of very visually appealing scenes
>There are some pretty funny scenes with Chris Pine and Gal and they have chemistry
>David Thewlis's performance
>Poisonfu

Bad:
>Danny Huston
>Action scenes occasionally feel poorly directed and slow-mo is way overused
>Somehow a movie about Amazons, Zeus, a mystical island, WWI, the god of war, and a plot to poison everyone with uber-powerful toxic gas is kind of boring and you just sort of are carried along from funny scene to pretty visuals to badass action until the movie ends
>Movie dips its toe into "war is hell" topics like PTSD, maimed soldiers, and toxic gas and it feels clumsy and weirdly clashes with the upbeat, quippy, and optimistic tone it's trying to stay with
>They never explain wtf is going on with Gal's bracers
>It's unclear why Chris Pine has to do what he does at the end

There are some obnoxious bits of dialogue that might annoy guys, but there are really only 2, maybe 3 of these. By far the worst offender was the "I wanted to be an actor but I'm the wrong color. Everyone's fighting their own battle, same as you." Completely took me out of the movie.

Overall, the movie is okay but undeniably got a huge bump in praise because of feminism. A male-driven movie of similar quality would have been received unenthusiastically and with tons of snark about superhero fatigue.

Good movie. I give it a solid 7.5/10. I'd give it higher if it didn't draw so many parallels with the first Quiptain America movie.. And I thought the seriousness of the horrors of war kept it from diverging into a marvel flick with a million quips an hour, so I guess I disagree with you there. My only real issue was as you say, the use of slow mo as well as Ares being CGI as fuck when they could have literally just made up some armor for him. He's not ultron or anything so why bother making him all CGI?
>>
>>83506439
Yeah, I kinda agree with you some moments and pieces of dialogues were cheesy, like that Ares's line in that webm "I believe in love" (which sounds okay) - "When I will destroy you" (wtf who wrote this?)
Also people laughed very hard when Ares told a story about how he was defeated and revealed his mustache. But I liked it.
